glad to have you as moderator/manager pete. cant think of anyone more capable

than

you. most importantly im glad the list will go on, for i remmber what it was

like when i

thought i was alone, or only had the arf12 to share in

(for those of you who think this list has hostlity issues, i DARE you to spend a

week

reading and posting there, with all the lying, insulting, slandering steppers

trolls that

go with that territory, geez this place is a fucking paradise compared to the

alternatives)

sure this list may get its occasional trolls becuase its more visable than some

fourms,

but that is what makes it important too. lets not forget the mission of this

list is to be

perhaps the first place people dare be critical of the insanity of the steps

movement

with out be declared a dry drunk or somehow spirtualy unfit by its cultists.

and how are people who are daring to be critical for very first time going to

find a safe

place do so if they isnt one which is just as visable as the 12 step garbage on

the

net? this fourm being on yahoo is as visable as it gets, and perhaps as stable

too.

what other portal has been more successful and is likely to be still around in

1-2

years? other than aol or MSN, i can think of one. ands unless you ahver an

invite only

fourm, you cant avoid the occasional troll, and if that what you have, than such

a fourm

can not replace the mission of this list.

Yes, please do not censor them. It is very helpful that others see the

darker side of these people who claim to have rational and ordered views on

life when they are confronted with those who have other views and beliefs.

Its quite enlightening for myself.

Pete, I would have nominated you anyway. You and I might disagree

on a lot of stuff, but you are one of the most prolific posters of on

topic material here and seem to be one who is " sticking sround. " I

was pleased with this choice on ken's part, and very pleased that the

list will continue.
