Guest guest
I go through the same thing. Every morning I feel like crap. My pulse is normally a little higher than normal, and then it settles down. It's hard for me to wake up. Mornings are the hardest for me. I post this, and then I get bombarded with "it's your adrenals", well, you know what my adrenals are fine. I've paid twice to have them checked. I think it's and adjustment period until I get optimized, but I'm going through the same thing. I have mornings. D---------- Original Message ----------To: RT3_T3 Subject: Waking up feeling shaky insideDate: Thu, 04 Feb 2010 17:21:12 -0000I did my 3 months of T3 only, brought my rT3 down to 3 or so, don't have Adrenal issues, and am now 3 weeks into being back on NT.I am using Thyroid S and taking 1 1/2 grains (before T3 only I couldn't tolerate more than 1 grain, but have since brought my Ferritin from 16 to 70, so should be ok for higher dose.I am monitoring my pulse and body temp, and still add a little T3 to keep them in range, while the Thyroid S builds up in my system. My question is about how I feel in the morning when I wake up, not just now, but has been this way for a few years since my thyroid lobectomy. I normally sleep through the night ok, but when I wake up in the morning I feel a little shaky inside and just plain yuck! I don't feel rested and refreshed. However, as soon as I am up and out of bed I feel fine. I yearn for a morning when I wake up feeling calm, refreshed and ready to go! I did have a cortisol test done that showed a little spike at 2.00 a.m. (above normal) but back to normal rest of the times...Comments, suggestions appreciated!Karin------------------------------------

What dose are you on and what timings?? When you say adrenals are fine what was the morning saliva test result and what were the ranges for it?? Guest guest
I think I still am hypo in the AM's. I'm taking 75 mcgs of LEvoxyl and 10 mgs of Cytomel, and getting my blood drawn today. I take the 75 of LEvoxyl with 5 mgs of Cyto when I wake up at 7:00, and the second dosage at 2:00. As for the Adrenal tests, I'll have to find them, I have them buried somewhere. I have a gal working with me to build up my levels, so we'll see where I am next week when I get the results, but I seem to be tolerating the above well. Are you fighting an RT3 issue or what are you aiming for? Nick
Guest guest
I'm trying to get my frees to at least mid level or higher. Each time I get tested, they've been in the low 25% of the range, and I don't feel good there. Guest guest
Mornings are by far the worst for me, but as I'm getting my cortisol adjusted along with my T3, it's going better. It really helps me to take my T3 and cortisol spaced through the day as well. Nick and Val have been really helpful in making the adjustments. Guest guest
I'm anxious to get my labs next Thurs., to see where my t3 is. My last labs had my t4 at 7%, and my t3 at 17%. Quite low, and that was on 50 Mcgs of Levoxyl and 12.50 of Cytomel. Once I upped my t4, I had to start over with my t3 and build up again to 10 of Cyto. By just about any account you will be under medicated on those, no wonder the frees are low. What sort of regime do you want to end up on? Are you coming to this having cleared RT3 or what?? I didn't have it done today. If you went up to 20 of T3 as the next step taking it as 4 quarters with a bed time dose among them. After a feel or so at that level then look at adding extra 5mcg doses so you are on maybe 6 doses a day to make 30mcg of T3 and see how you do, For T4/T3 combos such as Armour most people settle on 3 to 5 grains a day which is 27 to 45 of T3 plus the T4 in them so you can see why you are way under on just 10 of T3.
