Guest guest
Hey Val, I have been forgetting to take my 20mg Dhea lately. It has probably been at least three days that I can recall the last time I took a dose, maybe longer. Today my abdominal bloating is completely gone. I recall you said that you could not take Dhea but not sure the reason why. Could the Dhea possibly be the cause of this bloating issue that I am dealing with? I always show to be low on Dhea with my saliva readings and Dr. has increased my dose over the year from 5 mg to now 20mg compounded Dhea daily. Thanks,
Guest guest
HIgh and low cortisol BOTH can cause bloating and DHEA can lower cortisol or raise it too much. Yeah I would think it is very possible it si caused by the DHEA. I am really gettign to disliek that hormone and I used to LOVE it in my 30's! I took it by the ton then with great results btu then it just stopped agreeing wiht me and stil doesn;t even though my levels are stil quie low. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you again. I think I will take the Dhea again for a few days just to see if the bloating returns. Many times it seems to be all about experimentation. Maybe this will give me the answer as to whether the Dhea is causing the bloating since I am not taking any HC at the moment. If the bloating does not return then hopefully my saliva results will show the answer....just one more week off HC to be able to test. Guest guest
Well Val, today is my fourth day back on the Dhea and the bloating came back on day one has slowly increased each day. I can't believe all of this time I thought it was the HC and I actually weaned completely off. I am collecting my saliva testing this Tues. so I will remain off the HC until this time and then I may bring a little back in since I am not feeling as well these days. Now about the Dhea. My Dhea has steadily shown a decrease on each saliva test that I have had. I started at 5mg and the Dr. has slowly increased by 5mg each time to where I am at 20mg SR compounded Dhea at present. This may be off topic but I really don't know what to do at this point. I'm going to stay on this dose until the I collect the samples on Tuesday but I don't know whether I should just totally get off the Dhea or to lower my dosage considerably. I recall having this bloating problem off and on and not at all to the extent it is currently all the way back into the last two years. Why did you decide to completely stop?? What type of problems were you having? And is it bad to let the levels go low? Thanks Val, Subject: Re: Dhea questionTo: RT3_T3 Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 5:21 PM HIgh and low cortisol BOTH can cause bloating and DHEA can lower cortisol or raise it too much. Guest guest
I htink as long as estrogen adn testosterone are supported ot normal levels it makes VERY little differnce to have low DHEA. Mine is below range and I get fluid retenoitin adn PAINFUL pimples in my hair from it. Mine is even form 2.5mg a day and I have tried oral, sublingual, and compounded cream.. all the same. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Well I am very well supported on the estrogen and testosterone so I guess I will just elimate this little problem by taking it out of my daily regimen. I am going to continue taking it until I collect on Tuesday just to see what the levels are for curiousity sake more than anything.Once I get the results back in I will post the numbers to get some help once again for the adrenals and the HC dose. I think I have gone through a little healing but think I need to get back on just a little HC or maybe just some Isocort. Thank You again!
