Guest guest
I wouldn't mind doing just that but The scariest part would be I wouldn't know WHAT to order. I feel awful on the dosage I take now unless the splitting of that dosage will make that big of a difference? I believe that there may be something else that my dr at Holtorf Missed . Im not exaggerating when I say I have no energy. My hair isGetting thinner every day.. Unfortunatly it's only my hair that's getting thinner every day! Guest guest
Oops didn't mean to send that yet! Please send me the link. I'm guessing a rx isn't required? Don't know if you are aware but Holtorf clinic has their own pharmacy on site. So, I don't have Anything I could send to a pharmacy in MexicoI am so discouraged, I flew to California last July with very high hopes that my health would get better and I'd be back to my old self... It's been 7 months and now I will settle for a reasonable facsimilie of my old self. Sent from my iPhone I wouldn't mind doing just that but The scariest part would be I wouldn't know WHAT to order. Guest guest
Laurie Can you run by me what treatment Holtorf doc prescribed: type of T3 (time-release or straight), start dosage, increase regimen (amounts and timing), anything about cortisol, iron, selenium, your experience as you followed it. What testing led him/her to conclusion of rT3? As aside, my daughter in S.Calif. saw Holtorf doc to no good end. Lee > > You would split that dose not double it. Cynomel T3 >I feel awful on the dosage I take now unless the splitting of that dosage will make that big of a difference? It could make a massive difference if you are running out part way through the day. The SR can be very weak in comparison to regular so starting at 100mcg of regular which comes in 25mcg tablets should be a safe starting place and then while monitoring pulse and temperature increase by a half tablet a day every few days to try and find the right dose for you. Have you had a look round here yet?? www.thyroid-rt3.com Nick
Guest guest
HI Lee, I probably should have written things down because my memory is really bad. I can tell you that the Dr told me immediately that he thought I have a reverse t3 problem and he took bloodwork to confirm. (LATER he told me that he was correct and I did indeed have a reverse t3 problem) I left the clinic with a shopping bag full of medications, supplements and vitamins. I take medication for low testosterone, low progesterone,a leptin drug, cortisol, vit d, supplements include hashi rx, immunostim, ribomax, cardio-calm, iodoral, melatonin, adrenal repair, gluco sx, and finally last visit he prescribed hgh. This was to help with weight loss (which didnt). I hate taking all the supplements and drugs. I gave it 7 months with very little improvement. The T3 he started me on has always been the slow release type. I dont remember the dosage I started on maybe 75mcg and he raised it at each appt. Can you tell me what happened with your daughters experience there? I know they are incredibly expensive. Still, I know I would still be going there IF I felt better. It is soooo hard to find a Dr who treats rt3 where I live. ... I am considering asking for another Dr at Holtorf to take a look at my labs to see if my Dr is missing "something" . Thanks for any info... Laurie
Guest guest
Laurie The HOltorf doc started my daughter way to high on T3SR and, as I recall, she had hyper symptoms and stopped the med. She was dissatisfied with their sort of " my way or the highway " manner and their prices (whew!) so she left. If you're in S. California or near there, there are several trained docs - one I saw, who was easy to be with and comparatively inexpensive. Still the SRT3 ain't cheap. The one I saw treated me by phone and email (I'm in Oregon) and was pretty responsive. Want her name/email address? I'm also certain, she'd be open to incorporating what you're learning here. Are you currently at 150 mcg once or twice daily? If twice, that's a lot. I never got higher than 120 twice daily and it didn't work for me - too much uneveness. Do keep a diary, on your PC is easy. Track temp 3-5 PM, pulse same time and, if you can, check your blood pressure. Do you use temp/pulse tracking chart of any kind? Know how to get one? If you've been tracking, would you share it with us, say last two weeks? > > HI Lee, > > I probably should have written things down because my memory is really bad.
