Guest guest
My FT4 is .26 and am fully supressed on TSH. Mine is barely functional but stil keeps this tim=ny bit in the blood inspite of F3 at 6.2 -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
OK, so you are saying that it is possible to do this T3 therapy with the small amount of T4 circulating in the bloodstream that I have? Guest guest
Absolutely! When T4 is below range it is less liekly to make enough Rt3 to really cause or continue and issue. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you very much for that clarification. I was going to stop my iodine treatment because I thought it might be causing the T4 and I was not very happy about that because I have Fibrocystic Breast Disease with mega-nodules, etc and I am in a high risk category for breast cancer. I had a good look at my labs since 2000 last night and I realised that my T4 was probably way above range for years. After a few initial tests for T4 just after my diagnosis my doctor only tested for TSH and when finally I got another doctor to give me a full thyroid panel last year I found out that I was way over the top. I am going to take a leaf out of Nic's book and try and relieve the stress on my adrenals by taking iodine in two goes. Then I think I should do something about my electrolytes. I am also waiting for results of my ferritin blood test. I was 180 in September 2009. I have supplemented with really low doses since then but I have started eating organic beef after 15 years without eating a piece of beef (as far as I know!). Thanks once again for the reassurance. Hope this message finds you well, MacG. To: RT3_T3 Sent: Tue, 2 February, 2010 23:25:38Subject: Re: ? for Val about T4 - comments from other members welcome Absolutely! Guest guest
, my doc gave me potassium iodide for cystic mastitis. I took seven drops for over a year and no more lumps! I don't really know the difference between that form and Lugols, do you? --Irene > > Thank you very much for that clarification. I was going to stop my iodine treatment because I thought it might be causing the T4 and I was not very happy about that because I have Fibrocystic Breast Disease with mega-nodules, etc and I am in a high risk category for breast cancer. >
