Guest guest
Jack, First, I would try and determine exactly what the lumps are and then find remedies for whatever they turn out to be. The problem with us so-called 'HIV positives' is that any ailment we encounter is assumed to be caused by unproven entity labeled HIV.Our brainwashing, backed up by the 'doctor's orders' always lead us down the haunted, mythological road T-CELL count monsters and viral load count goblins. These false indicators usually lead to treatment for a mutated and now supposedly 'super hero' HIV critter. We end up taking huge amounts of highly toxic poisons, leading to many more complicated side effects than any virus could possibly cause, in attempts to deal with conditions assumed to be caused by this 'HIV' thing, when a couple of aspirins could have alleviate the headache from the start, even a headache thought to be caused by HIV. I am not convinced that HIV exists, but I am convinced that if it does exist, that it certainly could not be the cause of the immune system condition we have come to label AIDS. My advice: treat the ailment, forget about your HIV status, the fictitious T-CELL and viral load tests and all the prescribed poisons; poisons of the mind as well as of the body. It is the only way I have found to remain healthy with ('???HIV???'). Good luck. >From: "JDL" >Reply-cures for AIDS > >Subject: swollen lymph nodes? >Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2002 11:31:52 -0000 > >Greetings > >Please allow me to ask al Group members a question! > >In the past few days, I have developed 3 tender lumps or swellings, just >beneath my skin. Guest guest
- Hi, my CT Scan came back showing multiple swollen lymph nodes in my neck and arm pits. Have any of you had this happen in relation to mold exposure? Also, does anyone know if mold exposure can cause cancer or anything like that? Thanks, Dianne I had this happen but I had a mycoplasma infection and years of Lyme disease subclinical when I got very sick. This was one of my clear lab tests, a CT scan. I was running low grade fevers as well. a

Guest guest
Hi Diane, I am not a doctor or a scientist, but I have been researching this issue myself, since my mold exposure. It is not well publicized or generally accepted that mold can cause cancer, but there are a few experts that have studied it, and feel that it CAN cause cancer. Dr. Johanning of NY is one that states that, depending on the individual person mold can cause no reactions, allergic reactions, or cancer. Indeed it throws off toxins that are now used for biological warfare. From what I have read, I think it is a possibility, as I have heard of too many people in the same families die in the same house, that was later found to have roof leaks and mold in the attic. The insurance companies do a good job of discrediting this type of information, and putting out studies that seem to get interpreted that " mold is not harmful. " I mean can you imagine what would happen to the insurance companies if they truly find out that mold is harmful. Before I remediated the mold and rebuilt my home, my immune system was breaking down, I was waking up with multiple infections, rashes, numbness in hands and feet. Since the remediation, supplemented by dehumidifiers, and air purifiers.....isn't is strange that those symptoms have disappeared, thank goodness. Guest guest
Hi All :-) I'm hoping someone might have some information that could help me, or at least help ease my worries. I admittedly can be a little bit hypocondriac-ish and am worried about a swollen lymph node I keep getting. I'm wondering if this could just be related to my RA??? I was diagnosed with RA last spring. I have been on Plaquenil since September. I am also supposed to take Mobic but I rarely do because it bothers me. My plaquenil has worked wonders, but I am nausious (sp) daily......but so far it's a better trade off. Anyways about a month or more ago I noticed that I had a swollen lymph node in the groin. I just went to my regular doctor and he told me to take my Mobic and it should clear it up. I followed his orders and sure enough it went away. I go back off the mobic, and it came back. I'm now worried that there's an underlying problem? I can't seem to find any information that this could be related to RA except that inflammatory conditions can cause that; but nothing specific. I of coarse hope it's just a side effect that can happen but of coarse am convincing myself there's somethingelse wrong. I am thankfully scheduled to see my R. Dr. on Wed. but am just hoping someone might know about this. Thanks in advance
Guest guest
Hi , My Parotid and submandibular glands are almost constantly swollen, mine is due to the RA & Sjogren's. However I am going to discuss it with my rheumy on my next visit in feb as I have some small ones in my underarm keep coming and going. I would certainly have a word with your rheumy and let5 him know how concerned you are. hugs,Lynne "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, Compared to what lies within us." Guest guest
-, In the literature, enlarged lymph nodes are part of the diagnostic picture for many of us with RA. Most of the time episodic lymph node enlargement is noted by the doctor and simply observed. Since many of us take drugs which depress the immune system, we should still be alert to a lymph node or a cluster of lymph nodes which might signal an unknown infection or an infection which your body is not managing. This is where art in medicine comes in....Most of the time an enlarged lymph node without the presence of a fever and without additional signs of an infection will simply be noted. A fever which spike nightly might trigger more of an investigation, perhaps a CBC (Complete blood Count) Enlarged lymph nodes in the cervical (neck) region, coupled with episodic fevers and also accompanied by a sore throat should be seen by a physician. He will need to make a determination as to whether the cause is viral and most likely self limiting, or bacterial and might require antibiotics. This is especially important for those of us on immunomodulators because we simply won't fight infection as well as a person who is not taking such drugs. During the winter a good preventive for many of us is to toss a teaspoon of salt into a glass of water and stir. Gargling three of four times a day helps to limit the number of respiratory and throat infections we succumb to. This practice is not only soothing, but is preventive. Normally the amount of salt in our bloodstream is .9% and bacterial and viruses are able to replicate in a .9% solution. When we gargle in the salt water solution I have suggested, pathogens find it more difficult to replicate in the stronger solution and we seem to get fewer colds, episodes of strep throat etc. Chances are, your episodic lymph node enlargements are part of your clinical picture, yet you should know when to seek additional help for them. I hope this helps a little. Guest guest
Hi Jane, Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I appreciate your insight. I think I might have over worried since this is the first time this has come up with me, and it's fine (just like everythingelse we learn to live with) as long as I know it's just part of the deal.
