I forgot to mention my basal temp today was 97.3 (second day of menstrual cycle) and fifteen minutes later, after walking around the house and getting dressed etc. my temps were 97.0; why does it drop when I move around????? Do I need to get back onto a higher dose of hc? My belly is bursting already...) >

Update: at 9:10 my temp has dipped to 95.4 and now at 9:40 it went back up to 97.4, I had just been resting without any activity. Guest guest
I htink you need more HC. This dropping temp is not a good sign. Are you certain your thermometer is accurate? That is a VERY low temp. Yes cold is a HUGE stress on thebdy and requires more cortiosl. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/

Guest guest
thnanks, Val; yes it is an accurate mercury thermometer that I've been using for weeks already. basal temp was 97.3 (lower than usual, c'be cuz of my menstrual cycle start?) or c'be cuz I've been lowering my hc from 90 down to 70? maybe my body does need the 90?) I took 15 mg hc upon awakening at 7:45 a.m. and basal was 97.3 8:00 temp went down to 97.0 and I took 12.5 cytomel at that time. took son to school, I bundled up well, but the outdoor temp was brutal this morn, despite being all bundled up, maybe I need more hc when I go out in the cold? at 9:00 I was back home for 10 minutes. My temp was 95.8 at 9:10 it was 95.4 At 9:40 it was 97.4 at 9:45 i took another 10 mg hc 11:45 temp 98.2, and took 12.5 hc and 12.5 t3 12:30 temp 98.6 1:00 98.8 3:00 took 10 hc 3:10 temp 97.7 (it's usually higher this time of day) 3:20 took 12.5 t3 cuz saw my temp is dipping Now I'm so confused. I'm very exhausted. Not sure I should go back on my 90 hc (I had body tremors on such high doses, but had stable temps) Or should I increase t3? This temp dipping and rising, I don't like it. I used to take 10 hc everry hour and it kept my temps stable. Then again, how much does the t3 play a role? Any ideas as to how to proceed from here? thanks! > > I htink you need more HC. Guest guest
I knkow you shoudl nto stay on that high HC dosing for long as it WILL degrade oyu rmuscle and it is VERY catabolic. It will make you lose potassium and sodoium tooso I would not raise it back up but hold for a few more days and try to lower it more. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thanks, Val; So I am now on 65 hc for three days already and will not increase. let's see what happens with the temps. They are not stable at all. The temps dropping can be related to insufficient t3? When should I attempt to lower the hc? I was such a calm person on the higher dose of 90 and I'm so bitchy and cranky on this lower dose. Then again, maybe it's the low t3 that's got me so cranky and irritable? > > I knkow you shoudl nto stay on that high HC dosing for long as it WILL > degrade oyu rmuscle and it is VERY catabolic.
