Guest guest
Hi , In your current supplement 65mg is the amount of elemental iron. Any iron supplement will have on the label somewhere the amount of elemental iron it contains. It appears on bluebonnet's page the supplements are labeled by elemental iron content. So two of the Chelated Iron 27 mg would be 54mg of elemental iron and roughly equivalent. Hope this helps, Jennie > > In other words if I am currently taking 65mg of Iron (equivalent to 325mg ferrous sulfate) what dosage of the bluebonnet brand (iron bisglycinate)would be the equivalent to the brand and type that I have been taking? Guest guest
Hi Jennie, Yes, this is just the type of answer I was looking for. I kind of thought I could take two Bluebonnet to roughly equal my current dose but just needed some reassurance. The last thing I want to do is bring my ferritin back down again. Thanks!! Guest guest
Hi Sky, I already ordered the Bluebonnet 27mg tablets so I can take two of those to equal the 54mg. This will be equal to the 65mg of iron I am getting from my current dose right?? Thanks, Hi Why not just take 3. 54mg of elemental iron is not much. Guest guest
Hi All I am saying is if your ferritin is low why not take a higher dosage? Even 65mg is not enough if you have low ferritin and you want to get it up quickly. Guest guest
Oh no, my ferritin is fine. Last labs in Dec. were 133. I just want to be sure I am taking the equivalent to what I am on right now so my ferritin does not fall. Hi All I am saying is if your ferritin is low why not take a higher dosage? Guest guest
I'm changing to the Bluebonnet because of what some are saying about it being harsh on the system. I have had to take three 400mg tablet of Magnesium at night just to stay regular with my bowels. The iron is very constipating so I thought I would change to one that I have heard many say don't cause digestive issues. Guest guest
I agree. Bluebonnet is NOT harsh and, so far for me, non-constipating (at 27 mg) Lee > > > From: SKY JONES <subhadradasi2000@ yahoo.com. au> > Subject: Re: Re: Iron type/dosage question > To: RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) com > Date: Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 6:39 PM > > >  > > > > Hi >  > All I am saying is if your ferritin is low why not take a higher dosage? Even 65mg is not enough if you have low ferritin and you want to get it up quickly. >  > Sky > > > > > > From: Kourkoubes cinkourksbcglobal (DOT) net> > To: RT3_T3yahoogroups (DOT) com > Sent: Thu, 11 February, 2010 10:23:25 AM > Subject: Re: Re: Iron type/dosage question > >  > > > > > > > Hi Sky, >  > I already ordered the Bluebonnet 27mg tablets so I can take two of those to equal the 54mg.  This will be equal to the 65mg of iron I am getting from my current dose right?? >  > Thanks, > > > >  > > > > Hi >  > Why not just take 3. 54mg of elemental iron is not much. >  > Sky > > > > > > > > >  > Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger ..yahoo.com > Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger ..yahoo.com >
