Guest guest
Have you had recent labs to se ehow high FT4 is? Rechecked Ferritin to make certain it is stil up? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
> I'm on 55mcg T3. My question is how long may take to clear the RT3.Is it possible that I may need much longer time because of the low dose of T3 I'm on? 55 is probably enough to have suppressed T4 but because it took you longer to get to that point then RT3 clearance may take longer overall because you had to go up slowly. Hang in there, especially if you feel reasonable on that dose. If you feel hypo at any stage then take it up further if you feel the need. Guest guest
Nick,I do feel hypo most of the time but when I try to raise the T3 I can't tolerate it. My ferritin is good is 113. I don't know why I can't take it higher dose? It should be just the adrenals, which are still in very bad condition.I have been on HC for 7 months now. Thanks Milena > > > I'm on 55mcg T3. Are your average temperatires stable?? if not you need more HC to cope with more T3 (unless of course it's too much HC!) Guest guest
Nick, How do you know if it is too much HC? Guest guest
Nick, I'm on 35 mg HC and for long time I have not been able to follow my temperature.I will try to do that, but I don't think that is good to raise it higher then that. I know that is already a high dose.I wonder if I just need longer time for my adrenals to heall and to be able to handle more T3.How much higher HC is OK to raise? Thanks Milena > > >It should be just the adrenals, which are still in very bad condition.I have been on HC for 7 months now. > > Are your average temperatires stable?? if not you need more HC to cope > with more T3 (unless of course it's too much HC!) > > Nick > > -- > > for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to > > www.thyroid-rt3.com >
Guest guest
>How do you know if it is too much HC? That's a difficult one, I am not experienced with adrenals, Val is far better at that. You can dry dropping 2.5 a day and see if " 3 times a day average temperatures " become more stable or less stable. Stability from day to day to within 0.2F is the criteria The other thing you can look at is what happens to temperature around a dose of T3. If you take temperature before, 30 mins after, and an hour after. If cortisol is too low then that temperature will drop. If there is enough it will stay the same or rise slightly. Unfortunately it's " alter 1 thing at a time " and see what happens. I know she has been up to 40 herself. Check the average temperatures for a few days and see whats going on.
