Guest guest
It has now been nine weeks since I switched to T3 only. I am taking 100 mcg a day. Below are my latest lab results. In addition, my pulse is around 100, my blood pressure has been around 130/80, my temps are averaging around 98.0. My doctor wants me to stop taking Cytomel bc of the high FT3, and is concerned about the high ferritin. Please let me know what you think: Tests: (1) CBC With Platelet and Differential (CBCWD) ! Guest guest
>. My doctor wants me to stop taking Cytomel bc of the high FT3, and is concerned about the high ferritin. Please let me know what you think: I think if you stay on that dose a couple of weeks the FT3 will come down a bit anyway as T4 levels sink further. Had you taken any T3 the morning of the blood draw???? Gut feeling is that the high pulse isn't too much T3, it may be low sodium or it may be some adrenaline running round. Is that Ferritin a misprint or is it really 600? I'd hang in there a couple of weeks if you feel OK and see if you feel you need a raise. Guest guest
Hi Nick. Yes, I had taken T3 the morning of the blood draw. Was I supposed to skip it? And my Ferritin really is 676. It was over 300 a few months ago, and seems to be getting higher. I'm a little concerned about that and am going to talk to my doctor to find out what could cause that. I think I've been taking too much T3. My pulse has been over 100 resting, and if I walk around or move quickly, it feels like I'm exercising hard. I skipped the T3 all day yesterday and by this morning my pulse was down to 84. I am going to take 50mcg today and see how that feels. I'll raise if I start to feel hypo. I'm also going to lower the HC to 20mg and see if I need it at all anymore. I'd like to get off it entirely. I thought the high pulse might have been related to potassium but that seems to be normal. But if I skipped T3 and the pulse came down, wouldn't that tell me it was the cause? Best, Andy > > >.
