The belly may well be from an ongoing cortisol issue. High and low

cortisol both can cause bloating. How much iron are you taking and

vitamin D? Formost of us it takes pretty mega doses of both these to

bring them uop but a loing as oyu are not experiencing worsening anxiety

I would say to continuw to raise the T3 every 3 days in the small

increments oyu are doing now.

Hi ,

I'm taking 5,000 IU of D3 twice daily, and have been taking the Bluebonnet Chelated Iron 18 mg, 5 pills daily. Just bought Solgar's Gentle Iron (Iron Bis-Glycinate) 25 mg and will start that tomorrow since I"m now out of the Bluebonnet.

I thought the belly bloating was likely from the hernia since it's in the same area, but now I'm seeing that it's probably cortisol like you say.

I did have a bad food experience on Thursday night - took one bit of a burger before realizing it smelled "off," but the manager said the meat was fresh. I had diarrhea overnight followed by a very painful stomach for a couple of days. I've wondered if that might also have thrown something off in my hormone levels.

I've had no anxiety at all -- in fact I'm so mellow that I'm like Gone with the Wind -- "ly, my dear, I dont' give a damn," -- about most things, including a performance review and this upcoming interviewview tomorrow.

So: Do you think I"m taking enough iron? Do you think the food-experience might have added to my fatigue? And yes, I'll keep bumping up my T3 every 3 days as you recommend.

Thank you again, Val. I'm sure you're told often how much of a gift you are to those of us who need help!

, one quick question - with my fatigue as severe as it is, would it be a problem for me to go ahead and bump my dose, since I've had no hyper symptoms? Today is day 2 on the latest increase.

It's awful -- I'm so fatigued that I could just sit and cry -- and I'm still at work! Trying to muster up the energy to just walk to the car and drive home....

Thanks,

Generally I recommend 150-200mg a day of the iron to bring ferritin up

as fast as possible btu as oyu are having no anxiety symptoms oyu are

doign good. An dthe Vitamin D dose is perfect, It can take a lot of D to

actuall yraise it whne deficient. I had to stay onm 10,000IU daily for

over a year to get in a good level. I think the food epoisode may have

just exhausted you and it may take a week to get over things liek this

when our systems are run down from hypo.

, thank you again. I'll make sure I'm taking enough iron too. Isn't it awful when you're too tired to even get up and leave work? :-pSent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryDate: Mon, 08 Feb 2010 18:52:42 -0500To: <RT3_T3 >Subject: Re: Severe fatigue... again. Yes I remember many days when I would go and take a nap in my car so I

would not fall asleep on the way home from work. Horrible!
