Does the body naturally produce T4? What about if we're only taking T3? The reason I'm asking is because I saw that Rainbow said she's been on T3 for 6 months but her T4 still shows up on her labs. Val's response to Rainbow mentioned that she had good levels of T4. Thanks guys, Kem in Eugene <º)))><

My understanding is that we are always going to make a small amount of t4. Even when we are taking t3.

Yes the body normally produces SOME T4 even when the thyroid ios fully

supressed on T3. I ma not sure why but I seldom see FT4 at 0 even after

months on good doses of T3.
