Just got back from my Dr's visit where I learned that my ferritin had dropped to

28 (!) from 67 back in Oct. So discouraging! I did stop the iron tablet a few

weeks ago and was just taking a double dose of floradix. So this is most likely

another factor in my inability to handle the T3 I need ( had horrible heart

symptoms while traveling last week, alleviated by taking more HC).

My Dr. (NPMD) was not pleased with me taking 35 mg of HC and said 20 should be

the max (yeah, right)and that I should not go over 75 mcg of T3, either (I am at

62.5mcg right now with a high daily temp. of 98.2)and he agreed that I have hypo

symptoms with a low pulse and blood pressure. I am at the point where I think I

will order my own labs from now on. Can I be send the sources to do that as

well as recommended labs? And how often?

I'd also like comments on these labs that he had done and I have no idea what

they mean or if they're important:

neutrophils 77 H range 45-75%

lymphocytes 16 L range 20-45%

T3, Free 405 range 230-420

Thyroxine, Free, Direct 0.91 range 0.8-1.8 ng/dL

Ferritin 28

as well as hemoglobin, white blood, red blood, etc. (are these important?)

Thanks so much!

Hi

You are getting hardly any iron taking that amount of floradix. You need to take 100-200mg of elemental iron a day. This is the recommended iron on this group. You need to take at least 6 a day.

Also is your b12 level good.

Don't know

I bit on the low side for T3 only

Going down but needs to be lower to get rid of RT3. It takes time and

enough T3 to get this down

Ouch

Only if there is a problem in that area, not for T3 therapy as such

sounds like you are outgrowing your Drs capability!!

on the Leptin resistance group has arranged a deal on some labs

including FT3 and RT3. There are also labs you can use direct listed

on the STTM site.
