Guest guest
I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm just curious what your TSH and T4 numbers were when you were on 62mcg? I've lately been wondering a similar question myself. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 135lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 75mcg, HC 27.5mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 90mEq, Sea Salt 3/4tsp My Log and Labs: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > I am pretty sure I cleared Rt3 in Novemeber with 125mcg t3. Right around week 10, my temps started to go up and temp stayed around 99 with a resting pulse of 176. I stopped t3 for 2 days and temps still were up. > > I lowered to 62mcg and have spent time lowering HIGH HC. I started to increase t3 again about 2 weeks ago and I am up to 87mcg. I am frozen and tired!!! I don't get it. My TSH and Ft4 were almost suppressed at 62mcg. Is it possible that I held too long at 62mcg and I started to convert again to Rt3? Ferritin is good and adding more cortisol doesn't help. HELP! >

Guest guest
I don't know. I only tested ft3 on 62mcg and it was 3.6 (2.3-4.2). Too low! My doc said he likes to see it at least 5. When I was on 75mcg awhile back(before I cleared), my TSH was .004. Ft4 was .3 (.61-1.76), Ft3 was 4.0 (2.3-4.2), and Rt3 was <17, almost non-existant but I had to go up to 125mcg before temps came up and went hyper. This is why I assumed that at 62mcg, my TSH and Ft4 were pretty much suppressed. I remember your Ft3 is similar to mine.Subject: Re: Is it possible that I converted to rt3 again? To: RT3_T3 Date: Thursday, February 18, 2010, 2:44 PM I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm just curious what your TSH and T4 numbers were when you were on 62mcg? Guest guest
I cleared RT3 in November as well. My last labs, on 50mcg, were: 01.05.10 TSH - 0.014 L (range 0.450 - 4.500 01.05.10 T4, Free - 0.17 L (range 0.02 - 1.77 01.05.10 T3, Free - 3.7 (range 2.3 - 4.2) So I started raising again. But once I got up to 62.5mcg my heart rate shot up, even though my temps were still below 98.6. I thought the heart rate must be related to something else so I kept raising. 75mcg seemed to get my temps in the right place, but my heart rate is still 103. So I guess I need to lower back down to 56.25mcg I just don't want to. Maybe I'll test FT3 and Ferritin next week before messing with the dose again. ~Rainbow~ 30 year old Female 5'6 " 135lbs Dx: Hashi's, AF, Wheat Sensitivity Rx/OTC: Cynomel 75mcg, HC 27.5mg, Florinef 1tab, Potassium 90mEq, Sea Salt 3/4tsp My Log and Labs: http://tinyurl.com/pvgjmb My Blog: http://hyporainbow.wordpress.com > > > > > > I am pretty sure I cleared Rt3 in Novemeber with 125mcg t3. Guest guest
I doubt you're hyper but you never know. Yes, ferritin and cortisol could be a problem but if a stress dose doesn't help, that's probably not it. This may sound strange but It could be that you're just hypo and when you get enough t3, your heart will calm down. Val has told me this, my heart rate is uncomfortable and heart pounds too, always there for me.
