Guest guest
I've taken a turn for the better this week, when I reached 13 weeks for which I am profoundly thankful. I FINALLY have my first cortisol labs, plus others, and would appreciate some advice on what to do. Especially re: cortisol, DHEA, sex hormones, and whether I need to do these first before further T3 increases. Symptoms: I'm still a little foggy, fatigued, severe bloating and fluid retention or inflammation in the gut, muscle weakness and aching. Night sweats were severe and causing major sleep problems but have also gotten better this week. I have the internal shaky feeling and weakness at times. T3: Cynomel, 87.5 mcg Temp averages: Was stable on 75 mcg, 98.1-98.3, unstable since the last T3 dosage increase: 98.1, 98.1, 97.9, 98.5, 98.2, 98.2 LABS: Cortisol AM: 24.4 (5.1-40.2 nmol/L) Cortisol Noon: 15.1 (2.1-15.7) Cortisol Evening: 2.1 (1.8-12.1) Cortisol Night: 2.7 (0.9-9.2) DHEA 102.1 (106-300 pg/ml) Testosterone 30.2 (5.9-49 pg/ml) Progesterone 0.3 ng/mL (0.1-0.8 for post menopausal) Estradiol 16.2 pg/ml (<6.0-54.7 for post menopausal) Vitamin D 97.7 ng/mL (I take 15,000 units daily) Ferritin 43 ng/mL (10-291) (In September was 45, late December was 83, so stopped iron. Restarted 2 weeks ago.) Thyroid (drawn at 10 weeks T3 only) TSH 0.008 (0.450-4.500) fT4 <0.03 (0.82-1.77) fT3 4.6 (2.0-4.4 pg/nL--this was on 75 mcg T3) Sodium 147 (135-145) Potassium 3.9 (3.5-5.2) Chloride 111 (97-108) (Aldosterone, RBC potassium, electrolytes, renin, etc. still in process) Many, many thanks--Val and Nick you are greatly appreciated.
