Guest guest
I was concerned too before surgery. These were my experiences. After I woke up from surgery, I was cold and in pain. They gave more blankets and pain meds and I was a lot better. The anesthesiologist can give you something to relax you but mine was via IV. I found once they started the IV they didn't have to stick me anymore. That was nice. All meds went through the IV. I had never had surgery before so I was really nervous about the whole process. My anesthesiologist gave me my anesthesia and I didn't remember anything else until recovery. I didn't have a real negative experience with the anesthesia. I did itch afterwards but I was given Benadryll(?) and it cleared up. My doctor did try to explain everything to me while I was in recovery but it really was a blur. I had him repeat what he said once I was in my hospital room. I hope this helps. Felicia
