Guest guest
Update: I checked temp half hour after the 96.9 and it came up to 98.0 so that looks promising I have taken 10 mcg. t3 now (not waiting til noon) and will see if temps dip or stay the same. > > I am truly stumped here: > I do not take t3 in the morn as I feel I do not have sufficient hc in the early morning to tolerate t3. > > I have been taking significant amounts of hc in the morns so that I can at least tolerate some t3 by noontime. > > So this morn I took 10 mg hc at 7 a.m. > then 10 hc at 8 a.m. > took my son to school in this cold weather (I bundled up well, but my face got slapped by the wind), came home and temp was 96.9 > > that is lower than my basal and lower than my temp before leaving the house. > > I don't understand this at all. I have taken a total of 20 hc this morn! shouldn't that prevent my temp from dropping? Had I taken some t3 would that have helped or would it have made my temps dip even more? > > thank you so much for your help! >

Guest guest
Hi Mirium I am one of the other people who needds high HC (I think you do as well, right?). I just found out that my ferritin is low again, which I think is one thing that is making me need more HC. Actually after taking iron for a couple of days I am already able to go down a little on HC and tolerate the thyroid meds better with less high heart rate. I still need tons of HC and mostly have a high HR but I do think the ferritin is contributing. Have you had yours checked lately? Good luck Liz > > I am truly stumped here: > I do not take t3 in the morn as I feel I do not have sufficient hc in the early morning to tolerate t3. Guest guest
My ferritin is a problem indeed. My hemoglogin has come up to good levels, as well as hematocrit, but my ferritin is a stubborn little something. Have been ill for awhile and I think I have finally come out of that (been there since late December). > > > > I am truly stumped here: > > I do not take t3 in the morn as I feel I do not have sufficient hc in the early morning to tolerate t3. > > > > I have been taking significant amounts of hc in the morns so that I can at least tolerate some t3 by noontime. > > > > So this morn I took 10 mg hc at 7 a.m. > > then 10 hc at 8 a.m. > > took my son to school in this cold weather (I bundled up well, but my face got slapped by the wind), came home and temp was 96.9 > > > > that is lower than my basal and lower than my temp before leaving the house. > > > > I don't understand this at all. Guest guest
Nick , I want to tell you your advice worked! Yesterday and today i have been able to tolerate t3 in the morning! I take 10 hc upon awakening and 10 hc an hour later together with 10 mcg. t3. I have also arranged for someone else to take my son to school so I don't have to go outside in this bitter cold and staying home helps me avoid this whole temperature dipping as well. So glad you suggested taking t3 with my second morning hc dose! > > >I don't understand this at all. I have taken a total of 20 hc this morn! shouldn't that prevent my temp from dropping?
