I increased my Cytomel from 10 mcg to 15 mcg on my first a.m. dose - after just two days. Felt so much better that I decided to test it at my 2nd dose, increased from 10 mcg to 15 mcg. Felt great still. No hyper symptoms at all. So... did the same thing on my third dose - 10 mcg to 15 mcg. Still felt great. No hyper symptoms. Guest guest
Thanks for answering my message, Nick. I was on 150 mcg of Synthroid once daily and 5 mcg Cytomel twice daily when the referenced labs were run in mid-December, and had been on this dose for two to three months following the awful Armour switch. I stopped the Synthroid and went to T3-only - 5 mcg Cytomel 4x daily about two weeks later in early January. I added the fifth dose to the mix a week or so later, and then have been increasing each dose slowly since then. My awful fatigue over the last couple of days was while I was on a 10/10/10/10/10 schedule. Today I bumped up to 15/15/15/10/10 (I'll take the last 10 when I go to bed soon). I didn't feel any hyper symptoms at all by adding the extra 5 mcg to the first three doses all in the same day. I felt so good for the most part of the day, up until around 7 pm when I suddenly became exhausted and unfocused. I can tell when it's time to take my next dose - the fatigue sets in. When I took tonight's fourth dose of only 10, I never felt that same good energy that I had felt with the first three doses, and my extreme leg weakness/crampiness came back. Was it ok to bump up that fast on the first three doses? Can I go ahead and bump up again tomorrow since I didn't feel any hyper symptoms? So I kind of understand what you're saying with the dosing numbers you noted below. But it appears that now I'm past that point - 15, 15, 15, 10, 10. How do I jump from this point? Would I add a pill to dose #3 and then dose #4, and then go back and increase dose #1 to 20 and so on? And do I need to wait the 5 to 7 days that you mention, or am I at the point where I dose based on symptoms? I have my saliva cortisol test in hand and will be collecting samples starting at 8 am (in just a few hours). I'm sure those results will give us a clearer picture. Most folks looking at my cortisol levels say I'm low in spite of what the doc says. Thanks again for all your help, Nick. >After days of frighteningly surreal fatigue, I was a rebel today. If you are going up 10 then leave it a little longer For 5 add it to the 4th dose for 10 add 4th and 5th at once. After that start at the front and put that one up to 20, a few days later then the second dose as well etc. > >I have my saliva cortisol test in hand and will be collecting samples starting at 8 am (in just a few hours).
