Range is up to 40, so... My specialist suggested supplementing with it, but if HC lowers testosterone as in a false low, then I see no point supplementing with it? What do you guys say? My gut feel is leave it till you clear the resistance and get on a stable thyroid dose >Incredibly sleepy at the moment... Eyelids falling down. Stsrted at 2 pm or so. Now it's 6:30 pm.. I feel like I only wanna sleep.. >Time to increase T3 or what, Nick? Could be, do it tomorrow maybe. I said Saturday in the other message but tomorrow sounds more plausible. What's your pulse rate?? >I asked about the testosteone thing to find out if that can make me feel sleepy. Will too little sea salt make me feel sleepy? I doubt that it's either of those, more likely T3 needing to go up. How was last night's sleep? Nick
Guest guest
Pulse is actually 80 at the moment. While sitting down. So no huge changes in pulse at the moment. I did draw 5 glasses of blood today. Do you happen to know if an AF/Hypo person gets more stress while "making" more blood after drawing blood, than a healthy person? I take 1 to 2 blood samples every week. Just wondering if this in any way can affect my health in a bad way. I check electrolytes and my thyroid panel often. And I should!Well, after about 45 minutes (probably my average) of falling sleep, I woke up with a slightly fast pulse, due to the T3 under the tongue. Then I feel asleep. This has happened every night for 3 nights in a row. I have also gotten worse sleep in these 3 days, BUT I have felt much more awake (!) when I get up in the morning. And my "morning" starts earlier now than 3+ days ago. Today I woke up naturally (to pee, hehe!) at 9:45, which to me is quite early. I also read that AF people should sleep til 10 am anyway, to heal properly. So far, not sure how things are. Maybe I should give it a few more days for things to settle. My gut feeling, as you say, is that I need more T3. But I also worry about my trembling hands and jagged movement of hands and arms. >Is it bad that my testosterone is at the bottom of the range at 10? It was always a bit low, at maybe 16 to 19... Guest guest
My trembling hands and jagged arm movements since being on T3 only have ALWAYS been relieved by a stress dose of HC. You might try it as you're in the process of deciding whether to up your HC dose... I am rather envious of your medical system and the ability to draw blood twice weekly. My $6000 deductible plan means I did a blood draw at the beginning of the 12 weeks and will take another one now that I am at the end and it will be out of my own pocket. A little whining, I know... No idea, if these are normal size collecting tubes then there is an insignificant amount. If you were donating blood half a litre at a time that would have a BIG effect on ferritin levels lowering them enormously. >I take 1 to 2 blood samples every week. We'll get you having a normal sleep pattern yet! >I also read that AF people should sleep til 10 am anyway, to heal properly. Sounds a load of rubbish to me. The important things are QUANTITY and QUALITY of sleep. If you can tie that sleep in with LIGHT then the quality will improve. sleep in the dark and wake as it gets light.
