Guest guest
>Has anyone any suggestions for what to do for a thyroid dump? After using a lot of HC for stress it appears that this sudden intense anxiety and waking in a pool of sweat is a thyroid dump. I know it will pass (although any help in how long) and how best to endure it in the mean time . Stop supplementing T3 until it passes (a few hours if you are on T3 only) , reduce HC a little but don't stop Nick
Guest guest
Can anyone explain to me what is a thyroid dump and how you know you are having one vs too little HC or to much adrenaline? Guest guest
I am willing to bet this is just high cortiosl or high adrenaline rather than thyroid. The way it's talked about generally is when someone starts HC that was peviously on thyroid but the thyroid was pooling as lack of cortisol was preventing it getting to the cells. In this case you should lower the T3 BEFORE starting HC in case you suddenly feel a surge as the pooled T3 gets to the cells. There are other sorts which is where Hashi's antibodies are messing you about and you get a sudden surge of thyroid hormone. I got a surge a week into T3 only therapy when the large amounts of pooled T4 I had in me suddenly started converting and I had to stop T3 for a day or so and build up again.
