you can buy it online or a the drug store over the counter.... just make

sure you take the correct dose... by the way it is very cheap online... go

to google and type in Folic Acid....

Hi Chernie and welcome.

I only take 1 mg of Folic Acid a day.

The only time I took Leucovorin was when I was having chemo for colon cancer.

But Methotrexate is also a chemo product.

Just never thought of them together.

I was taking 5mg of Folic Acid a day, which is normally acquired via a perscription. Apparently there is a seriuos manufacture shortage of the 5mg right now, and is impossible to get. The solution was to buy a regular 1mg bottle of it and take 5 pills a day. Apparently everyone has figured this out and it's getting difficult, but not impossible to get now. I live on Vancouver Island and the London Drug store here had lots of it, although it was found in the vitamin section and be careful what dosage it is. The ultimate solution is to take 10mg of Leucovorin 12 hours after taking your methotrexate, once a week. It is also obtained via perscription.
