Guest guest
Ok, I went to the GI doctor this a.m. Told him and his assistant everything that has been going on for the past few months. Even gave them the details that are embarassing/disgusting, told them about the blood tests done in January, the fact that today is week 9 of eating gluten, that I don't want to continue eating it but I need the paper for personal/professional reasons. The doctor said this sounds like CD, especially with family history. (he is the dr that diagnosed my dad several years aog-so that helps) He is going to bypass the blood tests and scheduled the upper GI for Tuesday afternoon, and said yes I need to continue eating gluten up till that point. I have a question for those that have already had upper GI done.... how much to they " knock you out " ? I need to take a driver with me and am wondering how coherent am I going to be afterwards, i.e. will I be able to direct from the passenger seat how to get back home? Thank You Angie
