I took methotrexate oral and then switched to injections. I did not have any hair loss. I was however on 5 mgs of folic acid a day and leucovorin on my MTX dose day.

I eventually had to stop the MTX because of the side effects, diarrhea, vomiting, dizziness, mouth sores, eye sores, throat sores, and gentilia sores. I also got drug induce pneumonitis as well when I was on oral MTX. I had to stop immediately take a rest and then started back on injections. The side effects improved very slightly...but still the side effects were not worth the little bit of good it did.

I also had serious anemia and white cell count supression on MTX. As soon as I came off all my side effects went away and I felt much better. When I was on methotrexate it it was like having morning sickness from heck the whole time.
