Guest guest
But I feel better now than I did on T3 only. But here's why I believe I felt worse, and it goes against the grain for what this this web site is about: I believe I cannot take large amounts cortisol. 1. When I first got on Armour and raised up to 150mgs I was also on 25mgs cortisol - because everyone said I needed it to support my adrenals. Plus my saliva and 24hr urine test from dr Hertogue indicated my adreanals were weak. Once I got upto 25 then 25 and 30mgs cortisol I felt weak, lost weight, strength, looked terrible. So I backed off down to 60mgs Armour and 10 mgs cortisol and felt good- but not optimal. 2. Then I went on Cytomel- but first raised my coritsol again this time up to 32.5 mgs. I felt worse this time. I eventually raised T3 to 80 and 90mcgs, but i felt lousy. I thought it was the Cytomel so I stopped it over a few weeks and i still felt lousy-the same kind of lousy feeling. So then I dropped the Cortisol down to 15 then 10 mgs and felt much better. 3. Now I'm on 120mgs Armour and 7.5mgs HC, and I feel pretty good. Stronger than I have in a year and I look good. So the one common culprit here that made me fee lt he same kind of lousy feeling seems to be large amounts of cortisol, not the Armour or Cytomel. By process of elimination, each time I dropped cortisol down I felt so much better. But also by process of elimination, each time I've taken anything with T4 in it my RT3 rose. The first time I tried Armour my ft3/rt3 ratio was 14.9 and rt3 was 20. When I switched to cytomel my ratio was 33 and Rt3 dropped to 11. Now on Armour again my ratio is 16.3 I think I'm only 70% of where I could be and maybe it's because of RT3. So Val- what I'm saying might not make sense but this is what I've experienced. I want to try the cytomel again but keep my HC at a low level- after all on low HC now with 2 grains of Armour and I feel better than I've felt in a long time. How does 120 mgs of Armour translate into Cytomel if I start cytomel now? Guest guest
Each grain of natural thyroid has 9mcg T3, that is where you would start sat 20mcg then build it slowly up as the T4 from the NT leaes your system -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thanks Val- But have you heard of people on here who couldn't take too much HC-like even though they raised up Thyroid meds it looked like they needed larger amounts of HC they did better on smaller amounts? > > Each grain of natural thyroid has 9mcg T3, that is where you would start > sat 20mcg then build it slowly up as the T4 from the NT leaes your system > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
Guest guest
The final answer with how much HC you need is ALWAYS symptoms. SO if you feel better on lower doses that is what you need. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
