Guest guest
I just had my ferritan level done and here are my results. I a waited over a week being off my vitamin supplement. Serum ferritin 171 (10 -291) It does not look like I have a ferritin problem. So why would I have such problems raising the T3. I am raising the cortef but not much help. I feel bloated and I am having miseral digestive problems. I am on gluten free diet and don't understand why I feel so bad. Thanks Ellen

So why would I have such problems raising the T3. The " normal reasons " are ferritin or cortisol. Others can include electrolytes of various sorts, Vitamins B12 and D, and Candida >I am raising the cortef but not much help. I feel bloated and I am having miseral digestive problems. High or low stomach acid???? > >I am on gluten free diet and don't understand why I feel so bad. Don't know Nick

Guest guest
I did horribly on cortef - bloating, still tired, etc. I switched to Hydrocortisone Acetate - a specific form (NDC: 51927111000) and did much better. Started at 5mg back in 2002, but had to increase along with Armour to 7.5mg last year and may need to increase to 10mg. I request this specific NDC form of HC acetate compounded w/sodium bicarbonate in 2.5mg caps, so I can adjust dose as needed: start w/2.5mg daily and increase. Also, I spread my dose: 5mg w/breakfast and then 2.5mg w/lunch. Hope this helps! oLT > > I am raising the cortef but not much help.
