Guest guest
Hi, There is a tiny outside chance it could be B12 deficiency related. Here's the best forum in the world on B12 deficiency: http://forums.wrongdiagnosis.com/showthread.php?t=9948 & page=1249 I am skeptical, though about it being B12. The "burning mouth" should have gotten better by now. Pam
Guest guest
Hi Pam, Thanks for the link. I thought about that but I've been taking methyl b12 and also getting methyl b12 10,000 mcg injections at least twice a week. Yes, that's 10,000 mcg, not 1000 mcg. Too MUCH B12 couldn't cause it, could it?? I read that some people get it due to hypo, but it's weird I would just get it now, when most of my other hypo symptoms have alleviated. Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, No, too much B12 wouldn't cause it. B12's only involvement would be if, after starting B12 or raising dosage (assuming you'd been deficient) existing neuro symptoms worsen for a few days. No one really knows why that happens, but it is actually a sign of healing. B12 deficiency seems unlikely in your case. I think there are at least two possible connections between B12 deficiency and hypo: being hypo one doesn't get full nutritional benefit from their food and oral supplements. And also, pernicious anemia which is an autoimmune disorder, well, if you have one auto-, it is possible you'd have another. That's my supposition.
