FT3....5.0 pg/ml (2.3-4.2) high

FT4 ....1.17 ng/dl (0.73-1.95)

TSH....<0.1 low

What meds is she on? Does she have good ferritin levels? The meds matter

as if she is on natural thyroid these are VERY abnormal, if she is on

mostly T3 they are not so abnormal. Yes her T4 is a bit low, but only if

not on T3.

These labs on 3.25 grins natural thyrodi are VERY abnormal and show she

is not using the T3. It is pooling I would reduce her to 3 grains and

retest RT3.

what causes the T3 to pool?? and in the past when we reduced her NT she felt really really hypo fairly quickly....so do you think we should still reduce her NT? and how can we address the pooling?Subject: Re: daughter claire...help with these new labsTo: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 5:00 AM

You need to find out WHY her body is not able to use the T3 properly.

Low ferritin or low cortiosl are the first places to look.

her ferritin looked good....her saliva cortisol had a pattern of high in the morning and then dropping low in the afternoon then slightly up at 10 pm....we retested after taking calm prt but messed up cause she did not discontinue the product (which has roseola and PS in it) but the testing WHILE still on it showed too low in the morning and elevated in the evening which obviously was not good information since she was still taking the productprior to taking any of this stuff she had a similar result with an elevated FT3 and a ratio of T3 to RT3 of 14..what do you suggest at this point....right now she is taking melatonin 3 mg at bedtime...is sleeping well now....i have some isocort around....we just cant afford to take another saliva cortisol test right now....any ideas?? by the way i had her take her temps the other day for 2 days in a

row...her temps were stable but low....what now???Subject: Re: daughter claire...help with these new labsTo: RT3_T3 Date: Wednesday, February 24, 2010, 7:50 AM
