Guest guest
Heidi, Can you get a general practitioner in the va to do this? It is so insane that someone serves this country, and then they can not get whatever treatment they want! Makes me a bit angry! Be strong, and fight with everything you have to see someone outside the va hospital! Please let me know how it all works out. Perhaps there is someone that heads the hospital that will help, if you can not get a doctor to do this? hlani2@... wrote: ,Thanks for your feedback. Right now I have to be seen at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa, since I am a Veteran, however, I have learned through this site that if the doctors at the VA hospital cant help then I have the right to be seen by a specialist and the VA will have to pay. That was great news to hear, I just dont know how hard it is going to be to convince the VA that I need a specialist. I know how military doctors can be. It can be like pulling teeth to get a recommendation to see another doctor. But, I have come this far and I cant see giving up now. I will let you know what happens.heidi

Guest guest
Hi all, I am so glad I found this group! I had a live birth in 93, the pregnancy was uneventful and I had a healthy baby boy. 94, I had another pregnancy but I was losing weight and having kidney pain, I later discovered I had an acute kidney infection and was prescribed powerful antibiotics. One week later I began to bleed and I went on to miscarry at 14 weeks, I underwent a D & C and don't recall being given antibiotics. I met my now husband in 95 and we have had 11 unexplained early m/c's. We both had blood tests, etc., but a HSG or laparoscopy was never mentioned. Last July, I had another pregnancy, but this time it was a tubal p/g. I underwent a laparoscopy and a laparotomy to have my right tube removed and to have adhesions cut away - my bowel wall had adhered to my tubes, etc. I had breathing complications during surgery and I took a very long time to wake-up, so I am terrified about having another operation. My surgeon briefly told me that I had an infection (not sure what infection, not a STD) that had also entered my bowels; he also said that my remaining tube looked blocked and that I had some uterine scarring. I asked him if he thought that the scarring was caused by the D & C and he said that was most likely. I had a follow-up appointment last month and the Gyn didn't give me much info. He said that if my tube was blocked then I will have to have IVF, but if it wasn't he would put me on aspirin in regard to maintaining the p/g. I have since had the HSG and the doctor said my tube looked fine. I asked her if she could see the adhesions and uterine scarring, but she just said no you cannot tell by a HSG ? My tube isn't blocked, but I think it is probably damaged so that leaves me at high risk of having another ectopic p/g. I am feeling very alone, angry and frustrated because I am not getting much support. Everyone assumes that it cannot be that bad being infertile because I have a 10 y/r son. I have suffered all theses losses, I have fought with depression over the last 8 y/rs. I have not got over what happened in July, for some reason the tubal was worse than the m/c's, because the foetus was thriving and had to be taken out. After all these years trying to have a baby, I now know that I was probably made infertile in 94 after the D & C! I am now suffering from sacroiliac joint dysfunction (severe lower back pain) I have been having bladder problems and bowel discomfort, I think this is all related to my adhesions that have probably reformed. I can actually feel the adhesions in my lower abdomen when I move around. I am sorry to go on and on - I am not always a moaner! Guest guest
Hello , I'm also from the UK but at the moment i'm living in Belgium until July. I also have very painful lower back pain i have had it now for two months and i was wondering if it was to do with ASHERMANS. I'm going for my surgery in Brussels on the 20th Feb and i will be kept in for three days. I will get to know more after the surgery and i'm getting very scared and worried. Doctor Camacho will be doing the surgery i have heard he is a very good surgeon. I think it's good to moan to get things off your chest!!!! Guest guest
Hi Polly, I went to St. 's miscarriage clinic in London and had many tests including pco's , everthing came back normal and I was diagnosed as unexplained. Last July I had a laparotomy and a laparoscopy for an ectopic pregnancy - that is when the surgeon discovered adhesions and uterine scarring, but I am not exactly sure where the scarring is, though one of the nurses did mention that the scarring was around the entrance to my tubes. My periods are fairly heavy for the first 2 days then I have light bleeding for up to 6/7 days. Because my periods seem fairly normal, does this rule out Ashermans? Guest guest
B, You need to know first of all, IF you have scarring in your uterus to say that the scarring could have caused your miscarriages. Maybe you have other unexplained issues. Having irregular periods does not say anything about ashermans as this is non related. Do you know if you have PCO's? The fact that you have missed some periods sounds like this is something similar to PCO's. Do you know your uterine lining measurement? When you do have periods, are they heavy? I am tempted to believe that Ashermans is not what you are suffering from. Are you considering any hysteroscopy to check exactly what is going on in there? Guest guest
B, If your scarring is just around the entrance to your tubes and your lining is not affected, then that is why your periods are fairly good. To be honest with you, I don't believe you have ashermans because a period of 2 days fairly heavy and then light bleeding for up to 6/7 days does not sound like the syndrome to me. Ashermans does not affect the regularity of the period but the period itself. On the other hand, your scarring maybe on the outside of your uterus. Can you ask to find out? Guest guest
Val or Nick I started my Cytomel a couple weeks ago. I found if I take it in the morning; I am feeling sad, but not depressed. I have not been able to add ot it without feeling crappy. I take it at night as I know my cortisol is high at this time. I am okay taking it at night, so far. I am only taking 7.5 mcg. I was wondering if maybe my saliva test is off. It was rock bottom a year ago. I have been taking adrenal rebuilder now for over a year and it came back in the middle. Noon is on the lowest line and evening is just below the line. I have went from being 0.9 in morning (Range 3.7-9.5) to 5.6 in the morning. Night from 0.4 (Range 0.4-1.0) to 1.5 now. What will taking T3 only at night do? Rhonda
