It's not a silly or dumb question, and I don't have an answer. It

probably depends on your health insurance contract or the ins.

company's policy. I would check with them, and not cancel the GP

without an answer. If you can't have a specialist for a PCP, you

should at least get a PCP who is decent about necessary referrals.
