Guest guest
Milena this was me last night too. It seems to happen to me once a week and everytime I think I figure out why, it happens again. I am taking 5 HC at bedtime and that didn't seem to help, then I added a bedtime cytomel dose and it worked. Then it came back and I have no idea why. I also have periods during the day when I feel warm, but not sweating with a pounding heart. Steve > > Nick, > I have done a lot of changes the last days with my HC dose and T3 and is confusing to figure out what is goin on.I lowered my HC dose from 35mg to 30mg for the last 2 weeks and stayed on the same T3,which I increased recenlty to 55mg T3. Last night I had a weired expireance and not sure what caused it? I took my bed dose and fell asleep but in a hour woke up feeling very hot. Then I fell asleep again and all night was waiking up and feeling very hot, like burning. I'm not sure if that was from low cortisol and adrenalyn? I wonder if that can be RT3 and for how long? Also, did you have tolower the T3 dose for a few days when that happened or not? > In my case probably was adrenalin because I'm on a high amount of progesterone 100,but yesterday my period came and for a week I take a brake from the progesteroen,so that what probably triggered this last night. > It's starnge though because I was not having an anxiety ,wich usualy I get with an adrenalin but we are so complex, never know exactly what is happening. > Thanks for your help > Milena >
Guest guest
Steve, This is not something that is happening on usual bases for me. I had an issues like that before I started the HC 7 months ago. What have you done or changed to try to fix it? Any ideas will be helpful and may guide me in the right direction and I will appreciate it. I'm sorry it's still happening to you and you can't figure it out yet. Thanks a lot Milena > > > > Nick, > > I have done a lot of changes the last days with my HC dose and T3 and is confusing to figure out what is goin on.I lowered my HC dose from 35mg to 30mg for the last 2 weeks and stayed on the same T3,which I increased recenlty to 55mg T3. Guest guest
I always thought that it was an adrenaline symptom that was due to being hypothyroid because the HC at night didn't seem to help but the cytomel at bedtime did. I also wondered whether I was suppressing my own HC production with too much during the day.and the 5HC wasn't enough to get me through the night. I SURE WISH SOMEONE COULD HELP HERE!! Now I am just not sure what it is. I get hot a lot during the day as well but I don't notice the pounding heart but perhaps its because Im not laying in bed. Heck, maybe its a HYPER symptom from too much T3. I HAVE NO CLUE! I hope that we can figure it out because every night would be brutal. The last few times it happened to me it only lasted 1-2 nights so maybe its just an adjustment in the body and can fix itself? Perhaps the strangest thing of all is that when I have a bad night like that the following day seems to be less foggy and exhausted!! Guest guest
Steve, I wish I could resolve the issue to and get ahead with the process but the reality is different,it's all so complicated.Today I'm still having the same hot feeling and I'm lowering the T3 with probably 10mcg for the day and see what the outcome will be tonight. For me it's happening while changing the HC and also at the same time had to stop the progesterone,so there is a lot at the same time.I will try to stay the same for a week and see if is just adjusting of the body or not. Thanks for your reply,I appreciate it. > > > > > > > > Nick, > > > > I have done a lot of changes the last days with my HC dose and T3 and is confusing to figure out what is goin on.I lowered my HC dose from 35mg to 30mg for the last 2 weeks and stayed on the same T3,which I increased recenlty to 55mg T3. If you had a virus starting up that could cause the waking and hot feelings as well of course. It may just be your body sorting itself out or be a sex hormone thing. If it happens again check temperature and pulse if you are that awake and also try the glass of salted water Nick
Guest guest
Nick, what will this tell you? If it happens again tonight I will do that. What would you be watching for with drinking salt water. I felt like the pulse was 70-80 which is higher for me, and suspect that the temp would be up too as it has been all day today and I have felt so hot. My avg today was 98.8 although my basal was its usual 97.6. I have had palps all day today and heart rate 78 which is higher than my usual 70 or lower, but I have felt decent other than hot. My head fog isn't gone but not real bad either despite the poor sleep. What I have noticed is I seem to get out of breath even going up stairs and I there seems to be a disconnect with finding the right words when i am talking. I havent had what I think are low cortisol symptoms, although I am not sure exactly what they are other than a little antsy feeling I get on occasion. I guess that maybe I need to cut back on the cytomel. I had increased because I was feeling hypo, wanted to hold on to the IV iron I have been getting, and was trying to increase every 3-5 days to keep up with the decline in T4. Could it also be that I need to cut back on HC? Could it be that I am utiizing the T3 so well that I don't need as much? Guest guest
Nick, When I felt very hot again I did measure the temperature anmd for my surprise was 98.2.I lowered the HC dose and I'm staying on it for now,but also that did happen when I had to take a brake from my progesterone.I lowered th eT3 dose from 57.5mcg to 52mcg yesterday and last night I did not have this problem but I don't think it was from the T3 dose.Only 5mcg have not made such a difference before for me.I will keep truck of it and will see what will happened. Thanks Milena > > >It's starnge though because I was not having an anxiety ,wich usualy I get with an adrenalin but we are so complex, never know exactly what is happening. > >Thanks for your help > > Difficult to say, did you take temperatures or pulse?? > > If you had a virus starting up that could cause the waking and hot > feelings as well of course. > > It may just be your body sorting itself out or be a sex hormone thing. > > If it happens again check temperature and pulse if you are that awake > and also try the glass of salted water > > Nick >
Guest guest
Well I didn't change a thing last night except instead of taking 5mcg of cytomel at bed I took 2.5 and put the other 2.5 on the night stand to take when I woke up in the night. I woke up around 3 but not hot or heart pounding like all night the night before, just to go to the bathroom, and so I took the other 2.5. SO no idea what is happening or what to do. I feel like I am not hypo in some ways with being so hot and high temps yesterday, but I'm only on 35-40 mcg cytomel. I don't feel like I am havng adrenaline surges or that my adrenals are stressed. I have no idea what to do from here. Lower cytomel, lower HC, raise HC.....Could taking too much HC cause hyperthyroid symptoms on a this low of a cytomel dose? ANYONE?? Lower cytomel, lower HC, raise HC.....Could taking too much HC cause hyperthyroid symptoms on a this low of a cytomel dose? ANYONE?? Probably a case of stay still for a day of two. A pulse of 78 is not hyper. your body will lower it's T4 and T3 production as a result of the external T3 and temperatures will drop over the next few days untill you need an increase again Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
