Guest guest
I agree that some can be treated this way. What we put in our bodies make the world of difference. I have RA,Fibromyalgia Myofascial Pain and Trigeminal Neuritis. I have tried everything. My family is really big into healthy eating, holistic medicine and so on..I guess I was just needing to spout out.My pain is so overwhelming.I am going for acupuncture later this month...............Skye
Guest guest
Have you done accupuncture before Skye? I used this for a while, only stopped because the accupuncturist I was seeing became paralyzed and his son took over the business.......sadly his son was not as good. I had good success with the Father or Mother doing my accupuncture however I had one area that was very sensitive and what happened for me was when Lucy (the mother) treated me she stayed with me and monitored my sensitivity, knowing that when the area became sensitive that particular needle had to come out. When the son treated me he ignored my warning of this sensitive area and left the room. He returned when it was time to remove all the needles, by then I was in a total panic attack from the pain. Because of the position I was in and my limited mobility I was not able to get up to remove the needle myself or I would have. I'm not sure if you've ever experienced a panic attack, but they aren't fun. Also the pain from this needle, when left in too long lasted for a week. Anyway suffice it to say that because of his inability to treat me correctly I was left with this very bad experience and haven't been able to go back to accupuncture although I truly believe in it. However I wouldn't buy all the herbs they offer, I tried some of the things they recommended and had very little success, my belief now is that we need complete nutrition, not just serving one particular need. I hope the accupuncturist you visit is as good as the first one I saw........I have accupuncture treatments to thank for the ability to take my kids to DisneyLand when I felt I needed to as I expected I would be in a wheel chair and I wanted them to always remember the "fun mom" not the cripple. I was that cripple by the time we got home but accupuncture treatments reduced the pain enough to go, for that I was very greatful. Maybe for you this will be the answer.......keep your fingers crossed. Guest guest
“Crippled” is a mentality, not a physical state. -----Original Message----- From: Dorey [mailto:ddorey@...] Sent: Friday, April 08, 2005 2:05 AM To: Rheumatoid Arthritis Subject: Re: RE;Diet over opiates Have you done accupuncture before Skye?
