I hope I have this info typed in so you can make out what is going on. I completed this test on 12-9-10. Been on 75 mg of compounded NTH since Oct. 09. I had problems with the armour thyroid and that is when I started doing more research. I think I have discovered what my problem might be...low, low cortisol in the a.m. and the T3 is quite low as well. Currently having brain fog, cold hands, fatigue, can't wake up in the morning, etc. Thank you for any advice you may offer. I have an appt. with my regular physician next week.k.smith Let me know if you need me to retype the results!) In Range OUT of

OK, can see them but it's better if you just do it like this another

time

TSH 1.2 (.5-4)

T3 3 (1-6)

rather than spread it across the page.

Your morning cortisol is low but not THAT low,

what are the T4/T3 content of the 75 compounded? if it's to Armour

strength then there are very few people that amount would be enough

for and hence your low FT3 and high TSH readings. You are under

medicated. The STTM site suggestes that 3 to 5 grains is the typical

range for people to feel best, that's at 60mg per grain.

There is no RT3 lab there, we can't see if you are a candidate for the

T3 therapy needed to clear RT3 that this group is all about.

Your sex hormones are in the dirt as Val would say, are you planning

to supplement any of those?

Sorry it's more questions than answers but from those labs there are

plenty of reasons for you not to feel well.

If you want to go the Natural Thyroid route then this yahoo group may

be able to help more than I can

NaturalThyroidHormones

That's the group that accompanies the STTM site

If you have queries about RT3 or T3 therapy generally then we can help

here

For adrenal questions you might want to try

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/

The mods are taking a break this week so you can join and look at the

back messages via the web but not post for a few days.

Finally have you had ferritin levels tested?

Nick

Your morning cortisol is low but not THAT low, what are the T4/T3 content of the 75 compounded? *I do not know the ratio. Compounding pharmacy are using the porcine powder with acidophilus as filler. I previously was on the synthroid with no positive changes to my health. Got on ARmour and did better but never had dosage higher than 90mg. I developed problems with the new armour. There is no RT3 lab there, we can't see if you are a candidate for theT3 therapy needed to clear RT3 that this group is all about.*I thought the test included that but I see that I was wrong. I purchased the kit in

January and did not know enough at the time I guess to make sure it was included. I just now looked at a copy of paper work from ZRT labs....I think I misread the notes...taking fT3, to be rT3Your sex hormones are in the dirt as Val would say, are you planningto supplement any of those?I had not planned to but since they are in the tank I am now wondering if I should follow up?That's the group that accompanies the STTM site*I had started there but had also done research on the RT3 condition. I have not yet joined the discussion group for STTM.*Thank you for your response.k.smith------------------------------------
