Guest guest
Val or Nick (or anyone else who can help), I think I need help with bumping up my dosing. I'm SUPER exhausted. Is this because I need to increase faster? My iron is low. I know that can impede dose increases, but while my pain symptoms are going away, my exhaustion is not improving or getting worse. I don't have any heart palpitations or any hyper symptoms. I'm relatively new to the T3-only/RT3 protocol. Started T3-only around January 1. Week 1 was 5 mcg Cytomel 4x daily; Waited a couple of few weeks to improve iron, then increased to 5 mcg 5x daily; Last Monday I bumped up to 10 mcg on my wake-up dose; This Saturday I bumped up to 10 mcg on my second dose of the day, so it's 10 mcg, 10 mcg, 5 mcg, 5 mcg, 5 mcg for the day. I am SOOOO exhausted that I'm almost too tired to breathe. The brain fog has set back in too, which is a terrible problem. I have a job interview tomorrow plus a newsletter and a couple of other documents to write on deadline in my current job. Desperately need help - all I want to do is SLEEP. zzzzzzz Here's the current dose schedule: 7:30 or 8 am (immediately on rising) -- 10 mcg 11 am-- 10 mcg 2 pm -- 5 mcg 5 pm -- 5 mcg Bedtime - 5 mcg My RT3 was 434 (high) on my last labs (top of range 350) My TSH (not that it matters) was 0.00006 My Iron is still low, but it climbed from 8 to 45 over a few months period Also have low Vitamin D at 13 (targeting at least 32) I'm supplementing with Iron (combo with Vitamin C and digestive enzymes at mealtime), Vitamin D, Evening Primrose Oil, Fish Oil, Co-Q10, Vitamin A, a " hypomultiple " and magnesium. Add to this mix, I think I have an abdominal hernia that is causing some ongoing pain. My belly above the belly button looks very bloated and like I have a beer belly (yuck). I have an appointment with a surgeon on Thursday to have this looked at, but would this also be affecting my adrenals/thyroid issues? (I'm not taking any HC; still waiting for diagnoses and treatment, which should happen Thursday). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
