It has made me speak differently I need to speak more softer than I

did or I will wind up in pain. I cannot be jarred or bumped without it

making the nerve flare up. It is the trigeminal nerve. Runs from the

5th Cervical vertabrae to the Jaw.My Dr told me not to sing

anymore.and it has greatly affected that.So I need to sell my

music ,for I cannot any longer sing it myself. My mouth only opens far

enough to get my tongue through it.....Thanks for asking. No one has

ever asked that before...............(((((((((((susan)))))))))))))

I know what you mean about the jarring and bumping. I end up making a

cocoon of my covers with a tent for the feet so that my husband does

not bump into them by accident. Needless to say it puts a damper on

things.

Thanks so much for the encouragement! My son does have a little speech (mostly

echolalia, but a few single words), but it just never progresses. He often

loses the words he has if he doesn't use them for a while. Then, he

re-encounters the situation and learns the words again. His focus has

definitely increased since going GFCF a month ago, but if he had speech he would

really seem mostly normal. It's almost like something with his memory is not

totally working as it should because he just can't remember the words he learns

so to build upon them. He can say, " To infinity and beyond! " because he hears

it, but if he doesn't play with Buzz for a while, he forgets it. He also does a

lot of jargoning with a few words interspersed here & there. It's not for lack

of trying to talk, but something is just inhibiting the progression. His

receptive language is getting better & he'll carry out commands now, but his

focus issue was what was hindering that. Does anyone have similar

experiences? I have him on Super Nu-thera, zinc, and candex (for yeast). DMG

sounds like a good thing to try though! Both he and I are frustrated by the

lack of speech progression. Thanks!

dont give up hope on speaking. my son is 8 yrs old and is still apraxic. i

still have hopes that one day he will talk. we are currently chelating, just

started, and he is very metal toxic. i have heard that some begin talking

when they reach puberty. thing is, my son regressed, he USED to have speech.

hang in there! vicki

On that note, I found the MS groups eager for info ..... partially eager for treatment but eager for info.

,

I have not done any cold calling to do wellness talks so I can't help you there. My outside talks have been through patient contacts. That may be the easiest place to start. Let all your patients know that you are doing these talks for any group or organization who is looking for a speaker on such topics. I've spoken at a gym and a diabetes support group. Most of my talks are in office, however.

Hi guys,I wrote a group of 5 lectures to pick from to orient my practice toward wellness. (Wellness, Movement and Brain Function, Spinal Health and Wellness, Diet Myths and Truths, Better Sex Through Chiropractic- just kidding).I want to know where you guys have had good luck cold calling to get in front of groups. We know about speaking to elderly groups. It may be good practice but they don’t tend to be good patients. Also fun anecdotes would be cool.Years ago I attended a sales lecture once at the Multnomah Athletic Club. It was snowing and I was the only attendee. The guy gave his lecture and I took notes. It was weird but it worked out OK.Thanks for any input. E.
