I just know now my daughter will have to start getting exams at age 25 and up.....I pray she will never have to experience anything I went through!!! But you sound very, very strong and positive about the whole thing. Did you have a history of cancer in your family? I didn't. I guess thats why I waited a whole month before doing something because I never imagined I would have cancer. I work in an OB clinic and we had a young patient who was about 9 months pregnant just weeks from giving birth and during an exam she pointed out a breast lump to one of the doctors. Later it was learned that it was b/c. I heard that young woman was in such denial that she did not return any of our calls. I never knew what her outcome was. I just pray that she followed up with her oncologist and got treated in time. Hugs!!> >> > Hello Ingrid,> > > > After reading your post I am somewhat confused( nothing new these > > days). Ladies:

It may be a gene...unless you have the tests for that you won't know. More

than likely its due to stress and diet. There are so many preservatives in

our foods today and we all eat a lot more foods higher in fat content.

Stress also is bad because stress releases two chemicals into your system

that in time break down the immune system thus allowing something to act

as a catalyst for cancer.

Teach your daughters well about diet, exercise and stress coping skills!

You may be keeping them from ever having to go thru what u went thru.
