Guest guest
Hi, I just got the results of blood work: TSH 0.011 ulU/mL (0.450-4.5) Free T3 2.5 pg/mL (2.0-4.4) Free T4 1.34 ng/dL (0.82-1.77) Reverse T3 398 pg/ml (90-350) I have been taking 3 grains of Naturethroid per day. A few months ago, my doctor suggested switching to 1 grain of Naturethroid plus 6.5 mg once a day of generic t3 from Paddock. Then to increase t3 to 6.5mg twice a day after 3 days. Then to increase to 6.5 3 times per day. After a week of this schedule, my carpal tunnel, tendonitis, constipation, cold hands and feet, and pain in operation scar came back. I work as a computer programmer and was in a lot of pain. I went back to the 3 grains of Naturethroid and after about a month, the symptoms went away. I think when I call my doctor back that she will suggest going back on t3 which frightens me because I am afraid of the return of the carpal tunnel. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can avoid this? Also could I get the sources list for Cynomel? Thanks, Caroline

With labs like this >Hi, I just got the results of blood work: >TSH 0.011 ulU/mL (0.450-4.5) >Free T3 2.5 pg/mL (2.0-4.4) >Free T4 1.34 ng/dL (0.82-1.77) >Reverse T3 398 pg/ml (90-350) You will be horribly hypo, you are converting most of the T4 to RT3, your FT3/RT3 ratio is 6.25 and needs to be better than 20! FT3 needs to be top of the range or a bit over to feel best on Natural. When they dropped you by 2 grains the T3 along in that was 18mcg. They should have given you 18 of T3 spread through the day IMMEDIATLY with increases every 3 to 7 days as the T4 levels diminished. The T3 didn't work as it left you more hypo immediately. You have landed in the right place though in this group, going T3 only with good T3 and enough of it will " starve out " the RT3 by taking away the T4 it's made from while not leaving you hypo. www.thyroid-rt3.com Have a good look through here and feel free to ask questions. > >Also could I get the sources list for Cynomel? Sent privately, you will probably find it a lot better than paddock. Nick
Guest guest
Nick, thank you! I appreciate your help. I will suggest to the doctor that she give me a higher t3 dose. Thanks, Caroline > > >I think when I call my doctor back that she will suggest going back on t3 which frightens me because I am afraid of the return of the carpal tunnel.
