Guest guest
My cynomel from Mexico has not come in. I called my Dr. for cytomel prescription and will have it today and start on it tomorrow. Currently I doing: SR T3 26.25 8am SR T3 7.50 2pm Total: 33.75 I know SR T3 is weak and trying to estimate a starting point with cytomel w/o going backwards. I am thinking 20? 5 5 5 5 intervals? The intervals can be adjusted later once I get the feel of cytomel in my system. Just trying a baseline for now. I have been on this dose for two days and will need to increase tomorrow or the next. Go for 20 as a starting point and then add an extra dose the next day if you feel it's not too much. You can make the decision at each dosing time whether pulse and temperature are OK to take it or whether to delay the dose Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
Thanks. I noticed my SR T3 only lasts for 6 hours in my system. Since I have been slowly increasing I noticed I get more hypo around the 3rd day. One would think I would get less hypo when I increase the T3 but I get more hypo. The adrenals are supporting me so far. When I take a T3 and wait an hour and do my temp it increases. For example, when I become more hypo I increase my T3, then my temps raise for 2 days and they are stable. Then by the 3rd day they drop and I feel the hypo setting in. I am so tired by 8pm and want to go to bed so early, and my hair is getting dry. Then I increase the T3 the next day and my temps will jump back up. Like my body is a desert and it is soaking up the rain so fast the ground is still dry and you'd think it didn't rain. > > >I am thinking 20? 5 5 5 5 intervals? As you increase T3 your TSH goes down, your own thyroid production reduces, the amount from converted T3 sinks and you are back to where you started in terms of FT3. This is to be expected, when you get to the point where your own thyroid stops producing you will stabilise. In the mean time you are reading your body right, increases are needed every 3 to 7 days depending how big the increase was.
