Guest guest
What about changes in blood pressure and having weird skip heart beats or maybe it's a palp? Feels like sinking feeling, hard to explain. BP is usually lowish 100/70-110/70, sometimes lower, but while getting that feeling my BP was 130/90, then 120/90, with 84 resting pulse. Guest guest
I have atrial fibrillation, and I get this sometimes too. Yes, it's similar to skipped beats. I suggest that when you start feeling these things that you stand in front of an analog clock with a 2nd hand and take your pulse. If you can't count your pulse because the beat is not even and skips around, I would schedule an appointment with a cardiologist who can do a stress test on you and see what is going on with your heart. He can also do an ekg. Roni > > I'm noticing a little more this feeling of my heart sinking in my chest, sort of like a skipped beat, or maybe that is what a palpation feels like. It's not constant, but it's been going on now for the past 30 minutes every few minutes. My pulse is 84 resting, but BP is 110/90, and I usually am around 106/60-110/70. > > I have no sweats, in fact, just from being outside for 2 hours, my temperature which was holding at 98.6 all day for 5 days has dropped to 97.4 an hour ago. Guest guest
>Is this a hyper symptom? Hyper involves high temperature. A temperature drop that happens suddenly tends to be adrenal. a slow drift is hypo thyroid. I get missed beats and " feeling my heart " if I am low in T3 or if my adrenals can't cope. If it happens soon after a dose then it's probably adrenal. If it happens when it's nearly time for another dose then maybe it's low T3. If it's adrenal then taking the same amount of T3 in more but smaller doses can help. Nick
Guest guest
Then I'm a bit confused still because my temperatures were 98.6 almost all day for several days while on 2 grains Erfa and 12.5 Cytomel, then I lowered Cytomel to 6.25 and raised erfa by 1/2 grain 7 days ago. Temps still good and stable. Now getting drop in temp at times and that weird heart thing. I had been doing pretty good with stable temps after weaning down to 15mg of Cortef from 20. I was waking up with 98.6 for several days too. I've lowered my T3 too, so why would I be getting dips in temps and heart feelings. My dose is a bit lower in the T3. I'm not taking more hormone with the 1/2 grain raise, so why would I get adrenal issue now when I was stable for several weeks? I was getting really positive there with the temps, now this set back. I'm trying to get off the Cortef too. But I'm sticking with 15mg until I get to the right dose of NT. 2 grains may be all I needed?? Maybe I should cut back 1/4 grain? My RT3 came back good so I'm trying to get back to only NT now. > > Still sounds liek adrenals with adrenaline which is what can hapopen > when cortisol dips too low > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/ >
Guest guest
Hi Roni, TY. I did take my pulse and it was 84-86 around the time of those feelings. The feeling lasts for a second then goes away and comes back. I did have echo stress test and 24 hour ekg monitor 3 years ago when I had some chest pains and all was normal. THey said they would contact me if there was a problem and they never did. I figured it was a menopause symptom then and I'm wondering if it's the same now. I'm off my estrogen now for 8 weeks, so maybe it's from that. Or maybe it's from too much thyroid? I raised my Erfa 1/2 grain 7 days ago and was doing fine with temps and now yesterday my temp dropped and I got that heart fluttering. > > > > I'm noticing a little more this feeling of my heart sinking in my chest, sort of like a skipped beat, or maybe that is what a palpation feels like. Guest guest
Thank you Nick I'm still a bit confused. It seems to happen in the last 3 days around 3pm. I take 1/2 grain Erfa with 5mg HC at 1pm, then 5HC at dinner no thyroid then. Then 1 grain Erfa at bed. I am now off the Cytomel and working up on Erfa. So I had increased my Erfa by 1/2 grain 7 days ago after being on 2 grains and 12.5mcg of Cytomel for several weeks. I was on 2 grains and 25mcg of Cytomel for 4 weeks or so prior, then down to the 12.5 Cytomel and still on 2 grains. Then I went down to 6.25mcg of Cytomel with the 2 grains. Then I thought let's now go 1/2 grain up on erfa and no more Cytomel. I did that 7 days ago. I have been on 15mg Cortef for the last 10 weeks or so and temps not that bad and no low cortisol symptoms. So now I'm stumped as to why my temps were great for the 7 days after the 1/2 grain raise and now I'm seeing a drop after being outside, and now noticing these heart things. My BP is also a bit higher than ever when I feel these feelings, not terrible, but 120/90-130/90, but resting pulse 84-90. My pressure when not feeling those fluttering, skipped beat or maybe palp, not sure how to explain it, but when ot feeling that BP is usually a bit lower. Also during the 7 days after the 1/2 grain increase I was waking up with 98.6 every morning, that has not happened all this year while I was juggling all these doses. Today it's 98.4, not terrible, but I'm seeing changes in temps in the last two days. It must be adrenal? Yes? But why would I be good for 7 days with the Erfa raise? And also it's not as much as 25mcg of Cytomel that I was taking with the 2 grains and 15mg Cortef back in December? To me it seems like I'm taking less T3 with the 1/2 grain raise then when I was on 25mcg, then 12.5. Isn't there only like 9mcg in 1 grain, so 1/2 would be 4.5??? Sorry so long, but in a nutshell: What would cause these temp changes and now this heart fluttering after a raise that for 7 days I felt great and temps were normal and steady, and the T3 is lower than what I had been on weeks before? > > >Is this a hyper symptom? > > Hyper involves high temperature.
