Guest guest
I will try to keep this as brief as I can! I started on T3 last September. Right on cue the RT3 cleared in early December. On 0.75grains natural and 44mcg T3 my temps were perfect and I felt great for a couple of weeks. In fact I was working on a 'success story' for the group. Then bam, I got the flu. I didn't feel too terrible at the time but boy did I feel like crap after. Completely wiped out. It seemed to hit my adrenals hard because my temps were all over the place and dropped like a stone if I did any exercise (to about 97). This lasted about 3 weeks. Then gradually my temps stabilised and I felt better though nothing like as good as before the flu. I decided that maybe the stress of being ill had caused the T4 in the natural to all turn to RT3 and I couldn't tolerate natural any more, so I dropped the natural about a month ago and went to all T3. My temps are pretty steady from day to day. However, apart from one day 2 weeks ago when I seemed to go hyper (cut back on dose for a couple of days then built back up) they are low - peaking around 98.5-6 in the early afternoon. I tried a raise but this has made no difference. The other issue is that also since the flu I have had a nasal membrane infection for which I am using topical antibiotics. I am also taking Vit D 10,000 units, garlic, and Vit C. My issue in the past has always been high cortisol rather than low. My question is, does it sound like I need adrenal support, or could the RT3 from the amount of T4 in three-quarter grain of natural be enough to be causing the low temps? Or could the infection be using up too much cortisol? Basically should I just tough it out until 12 weeks after stopping all natural, or is it worth a trial of HC? Thanks, Lucy
