Guest guest
My mom's saliva test showed cortisol was at the top of the range in the AM (20- range went up 19) and within the range the other parts of the day. So her doc figured she didn't need HC. Her free T3 was 230 and her Ft3 / Rt3 ratio was 11, so she started on Cytomel. Now she is up 65mcgs of Cytomel. She is not taking HC. 1. She still needs to take a few naps during the day. Like today she got up and slept well. But after taking her Cytomel she felt tired again. Does this mean she might need HC? That is, even though her saliva test first showed her adrenals fine- is the Cytomel causing something there? 2. She gets very out of breath walking up stairs or hills. Is this from Hypotyroid- is it a symptom? She lost 10 pounds in only two months- 131 to 121. Good maybe but she looks thin.
