Guest guest
22 year old male with a SEVERE b12 deficiency being currently self treated with methylcobalamin, methylfolate, and some other co factors TSH 2.621 ref range .350-5.50 (better than last time which was 2.9) Free T3 3.2 ref range 2.3-4.2 Free t4 1.26 ref range .80-1.80 Thyroid Peroxidase ABS (TPO) <25 ref range 0-60 Thyroglobulin Autoantibodies 53.4 0-60 REVERSE T3 - 446 ref range 90-350 I am truly worried about thyroglobulin antibodies. it is on the high end. Can this go down.. or is this permanent? Do i have hashis..or am i getting there? Does the reverse t3 have anything to do with the antibodies.. or how does that tie in with all this. Short story: Undiagnosed b12 deficiency for years (4). Had surgery with nitrous (which can be deadly and very damaging to undiagnosed b12 def patients) and it was very damaging. Affected adrenals and thyroid eventually. The adrenals are much better after takign care of the b12 (still working at it). The thyroid seems to be better as im not so cold intolerant anymore, dont have cold hands and feet, etc. symptoms wise- better. Better TSH as well from last blood test (2.9). Will treating the cause (the b12 def) bring the thyroid back? It has for my adrenals. But i dont know much about thyroids. Thanks.
