Reverse t3, ferritin, adrenals

So sorry if this is a repost...I didn't see it online so thought I would try

again.

I have been struggling with health issues for many years. Chronic fatigue,

adrenal fatigue, digestive issues, etc. I would tolerate the issue and then seek

answers that lead to more frustration. This last year I really felt like my

health was taking a turn for the worse and I so want to get to the bottom of

this.

I have been on levoxyl for the last year. I'm taking 112 mcg/day. When I

initially started taking it I felt like it gave me more energy, I was able to

wake up in the morning more easily and felt stronger emotionally. Since that

beginning time not much more has changed and there are still quite a few health

issues. I just went to a new doctor who said that my thyroid is still quite out

of whack and wants to add in t3.

My sister who has been working on her reverse t3 looked at my numbers and the

ratio and said that I actually have reverse t3 too.

Reverse T3 258 pg/mL

Ferritin, Serum 18 ng/mL

Triiodothyronine 2.1 pg/mL

TSH 2.37 uIU/mL

t4, free (direct) 1.24 ng/mL

I've read a bit on the forum and it sounds like with such low ferritin levels I

should not be starting t3 and that I should not be on t4 in order to reverse the

t3. Right now my doctor is telling me to continue taking the t4 and adding 15mcg

of t3 per day. I'm concerned that with the ferritin levels so low and potential

adrenal issues that could be really awful. Do you recommend stopping t4 cold

turkey or would it be better to stay on t4 while i work on raising my ferritin

and adrenal support? Then I would start adding in the citomel.

I also am having a really hard time understanding my adrenal saliva test

results. The doctors have said I don't need isocort or cortef but when I look at

the test I feel like I might. Could you help me understand my results and if you

think adrenal support is necessary. My doctor said that I needed to be tested

for cortisol allergy which I did and it shows I'm allergic, so now she wants me

to take cortisol desensitization shots. Any thoughts?

Cortisol ng/mL

5.3 @ 9:10 am

2.8 @ 1:10 pm

2.6 @ 7:10 pm

2.6 @ 11:59 pm

DHEA 355.1 pg/mL

Thank you so much for your help.
