Guest guest
B " H I just started cytomel only thurs at bedtime...5 mcg @ lights out. Dosed 10 mcg @ 7am, 5 mcg each @ 10am, 1pm & 4 pm for a total of 25 mcg daily. I was on 2 gr NH...Nothing's been right since Armour changed. Val calculated my ratio to be 17. I have undetectable TSH & am an adrenal patient who was a stage 7 adrenal failure in 1993. I have been pretty stable on 30 mgs cortef dosed as 15-10-5. When i've tried to come down even a little, I crash. Question is...will I be needing to add even more cortef to help tolerate the T3? I thought about adding 1.25 mg w/ T3 @ 10 am and maybe 1 but I don't know. According to my temps, my adrenals are still not stable, but given what I've come back from, I don't know if they ever will be. My ferritin, which had a history of being 20-40 is 114 now that I've gone thru menopause. Also, should I be feeling any different? I'm still mostly slogging thru molasses with an occasional good day. When should I increase, or should I go up now, since I don't feel different? TIA, Debra Re: Severe gastrointestinal distress I am up to 32.5 mcg. already. I cannot even swalllow my vitamins because my stomach is spasming so badly. I can hardly breath. This is scaring me. Is there anything I can do for the symtoms Thanks > > > > T3 does nto cause constipation but being more hypothyroid will.
