Guest guest
Just as a bit of comparison we were quoted per person: US - anywhere from $30,000 US to $50,000.00 (Canadian: $60,000 - $75,000) England: 9,500 pounds to 10,500 pounds (Candian: $22,000 - $25,000.00) Belgium: 9,500 Euros (Canadian ($15,000.00) None of these prices included airfare or hotels I am not sure how they do it in Belgium and I have a feeling that Dr. De Smet's waiting list is going to get longer and longer thanks to all those wonderful testimonials - sure glad we're booked already. Guest guest
For one hip, EUR 7,000 for the hospital and EUR 2,500 to Dr. De Smet. I just received a refund of EUR 296 from the hospital. EUR and the Dollar were about the same in June. Guest guest
Pamela, I am just taking the opportunity to advise that the UK prices start at about 7,000 pounds (10,500 Euros /$US - 16,500$ Canadian); this is a fixed price for everything and can be obtained at the Nuffield Hospital, Derby - other hospitals are available at this price (I realise the prices you quoted are as you had found). The quality of care at such hospitals is very high - As a rule in the UK the further north you go the cheaper health care becomes for identical treatment. Guest guest
Hi Peg and - My bilateral in Belgium was the same as Peg's (July 3rd, '02) 13,000 Euros for hospital and 4,000 for surgeon's fee, sent as 'pre-payment' - which at that time translated to $16,500 dollars. I'll receive my final statement from the hospital in the next month or so and Dr. De Smet says there could be a refund of part of that, depending on the actual length of my stay etc. in Austin > >Reply-To: surfacehippy >To: <surfacehippy > >Subject: RE: Re: Belgium (Ghent) Resurfacing Cost is low >Date: Wed, 9 Oct 2002 20:03:50 +0200 > >you wrote: > " ...so i think the price went up for me...
