Ferritin and Starting T3 Meds

Hi Nick/Val,

I have just got my T3 Compounded in the Mail today and was planning to start in

the morning, however I read a post on the Adrenals forum which has now got me

apprehensive about starting, basically it was about Low Ferritin and T3, I've

read the info here regarding raising Ferritin if it is Low, but mine is quite

high already, there's nothing mentioned in the files regarding HIGH Ferritin.

Could I expect a problem with this.?

My meds came as capsules of 10mcg,so that doesn't give me any options for

raising in smaller increments if I need to, but would I need to? what would you

suggest.?

Dosing instructions are take one capsule 2 -3 times per day, nothing about

raising dose, but doc did say I could raise when I feel I need to,but I'm not

sure what I should be feeling, I will use the guidelines here for raising, but

just need to know if the Ferritin level is going to make a difference?

Next time I will be getting them as the tertroxin tablets as you suggested

Nick, made enquiries and much cheaper for me, think I got ripped off with this

lot.!!

Sorry for all the questions but I am really nervous about starting, its like

jumping into the unknown!

Thanks

Sandy from Oz

Usually unless ferritin is over 200 I owuld not even worry abotu it and

it certainly will not cause problems beginning T3 treatment.
