Guest guest
Just had iron IV on Tuesday (my ferritin last test was 32, RT3 ratio 11.3) and have started raising T3 by 6.25 increments (I'm at 18.75mcg a day and hope to do another raise tomorrow hopefully). Talked to doctor about getting another IV in a week or two and he wants to do a ferritin test first. I am taking Bluebonnet iron (168mg a day) and as you know I have to stop the iron supplements for five days before the test. I've read about how we need T3 to keep the ferritin from dropping and of course I am only raising 6.25 every five days or so. Would stopping the Bluebonnet for five days possibly be worst than keeping going and trying to get the T3 higher as soon as possible? Not sure if I am explaining what I mean very well SHould I not get the ferritin test or the IV right now and try to get the T3 up a little more first? Bit of a dilemma.
