Check in your area if anyone offers 4-D imaging...it'll blow you away as to the images. Insurance wont pay and prices do vary based on geographical location. I had one done and the fee was a lil over $500. O 3-D Ultrasound Hi Everyone, I had a 3-D ultrasound yesterday at 31 weeks. It was the most amazing experience to really see her. We decided on a name after seeing her - Avery Rayne. They moved my due date to September 2nd, and said she will weigh 7.5. You get a portfolio of pictures, a CD of pictures, a live video of the entire visit, and your favorite shot in a matted 8 by 10. I was going, but didnt have the $$$ so cancelled! The 3-D Ultrasound was done in San Diego at XDI, cost $170, and included a 45 minute 3-D ultrasound and captured 4-D (3-D plus time) images. All of it is presented on a VHS tape, 2 color 4-D images, 20 Black and white images, some 3D some 4, and a CD with all the images ready for emailing to friends. It was a great experience and totally worth the money. Shop around, if I had gone to UCSD it would have been $350. Hope everyone is doing well. When I got to the end, they told me that my baby weighed 10.5 pounds, and would gain a half a pound a week, and I still had three weeks to go. Well with me being diabetic, my doc was concerned. I am high risk and my dr is one of two in the state with the 4D ability. I have been offered one, later in pregnancy......dr says that you can't see alot right now (12 weeks), but later on this will come.
