Guest guest
Well I saw my PCP today and talked to her about rt3 issues and told her my NT didn't seem to be fully getting into my system. Told her symptoms were starting to return again. She told me she knows nothing about rt3 and agreed to run the right tests and such but said she didn't have a clue how to interpret them much less treat it. I told her I could help her with that but she was not comfortable since I'm not an MD. She said she practices western medicine but suggested I see a naturepath if I wanted to follow up by taking temps, T3 therapy, etc. Said she doesn't know what she's doing there...at least she was honest about it. My gyn does practice western and holistic medicine so I'm going to probably have to take this issue up with him if in fact there is an rt3 issue. She did tell me she was concerned about naturethroid and the quality control, said she'd prefer if I wanted to continue with that type of med that I take compounded USP thyroid porcine. I did fine on compounded and my temps actually did stay higher, I keep a journal and noticed it wasn't until I got back on NT that my temps took a dump again. She may have a point but compounded is about 3x the price of NT. She's keeping me on 25 mg. HC for adrenal support. It'll take a week or so to get the tests back, she has to send the rt3 test to a special lab in Utah. If it comes back with an rt3 issue then I'll call my other doc and see if he knows anything about rt3. Otherwise I do have a friend who is a naturepath, maybe she knows about rt3 stuff.
