Guest guest
Vicki, Thank God for Nyquil, I think I would die without it right now. This is a bad head cold, it started Wednesday night is getting progressive worse. As for diet buddies - it looks like you, Kendall and I are on for the long haul. I have never tried Slim-Fast, does it taste awful? Although right now I can't taste anything, but that should pass. With my busy schedule with the kids and housework, I usually only eat dinner anyway, sometimes lunch. I don't understand why I haven't dropped more weight. I guess I'm going to have to cut out my coffee with cream :0( . Sucks to be me. So I think we should weigh in a least a couple of times a week. Maybe Monday and Thursday, hopefully we can all meet our goals. So Monday morning before you eat or drink, weigh in. Maybe we should be keeping a food diary on line so we can see where we are going wrong with our intake (just a thought). Love & hugs, Jo-Ann Jo-Ann Sorry you aren't feeling well!! With all that you have going on, youdon't need that too! On the other hand, don't you just love nyquil??? Imissed that the most when I was sick and pregnant! A good night's sleepalways makes you feel better! I'd love to be your diet buddy, we'll haveto figure out what we should do. I've never been to weight watcherseither, we borrowed the materials from someone I knew and made copies ofthe program that assigns points for different foods. There is someinformation on the internet, but they don't put much on there because Ithink they actually want you to go to their meetings and pay thedues...I lost 20lbs before my sister's wedding doing slim-fast andeating one meal a day. It seemed like the weight came off pretty quickand steadily and that's what I need to keep me motivated. I guess Ineed to be extreme....Oh, I was doing aerobics 3x a week too and keepinga food diary. I may start doing that, at least when I weighed myself inthe mornings I'd either have lost a little or stayed the same, right nowI am yo-yoing down a couple, up a couple...URGH! Should we start Monday?Report our mornin weigh-ins, then report weekly? or Daily? Let me knowok! How's Tessa doing with the bottle? She is sure a sweetie, I keepgoing back and looking at her pictures! Enjoy the ballet recital! Iloved ballet! and recital time! I was actually in the Nutcracker oneyear (I was a mouse...)Vicki

Guest guest
Vicki, The cake story made me lmao! At least you took one bite, it would have been bad luck if you hadn't, at least that's what I always tell myself ). I agree with the no cheating, once I'm into the diet and I start seeing results, I'll be very happy. Wally and I want to go away this winter and I definitely want to be able to wear my bikini. Ok so maybe I should aim for 125 - lol! Love & hugs, Jo-Ann Jo-Ann Jo-Ann!I'm IN!!! Ok, starting Monday...I'll weigh myself Monday morning andpost the staggering results, now where is that truck scale locatedagain??? I want to get down to 150 before the cruise in Sept. so I havea LOOOOOOOONG way to go. I'm excited to get started though and NOTcheat, after about a week or two of not cheating on my diet then I'm infull diet mode and it isn't near as hard. I remember someone from myoffice that year buying me a birthday cake and cutting me a piece...whenthey weren't looking I took a bite and threw the rest in the trash (anddidn't dig it out later to eat it either!!)...I just have to get going.this should be "fun" :)Vicki

Guest guest
, Thank you so much sweetie! I was down to breastfeeding Tessa only once or twice a day, but since I was sick I figured it was time to stop so I could take some medication. To be completely honest, I miss it :0( . She is almost 7 mth and I swear I could have kept going for another 3 or 4 mth. Love & hugs, Jo-Ann Jo-Ann Sorry you aren't feeling well!! With all that you have going on, youdon't need that too! Guest guest
Hi Jo-Ann, My friend Vicki went through a similar problem trying to figure out how to take the two toddlers swimming while keeping the baby out of the sun and heat.. She ended up going out to the pool while the baby was sleeping, bringing the baby monitor to hear if wakes up. It's a difficult decision because you have to decide whether you're comfortable being outside while your baby is sleeping inside, I'm not sure if I would have made the same choice. maria

Guest guest
Jo-Ann, Thanks for clearing me up regarding the trimesters. I am pretty ignorant about how all this works. Congratulations on surviving one week on a diet! I'll be thinking of you guys as you try to make the right food choices. It's not easy, but it will be worth it in the end. Are you about over your cold? Janice

Guest guest
You lost three pounds in just a few days! That is incredible. Last week my dh didn’t eat for 6 days—he was fasting to lose weight. He lost 6 pounds. and he literally ate nothing. So what you’ve accomplished is unreal. Janice
Guest guest
Jo-Ann, Thanks so much for the positve messages and the prayers for me. I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and concern. I don't post as often as I could, but I hope that I am a valuable part of the group. I know that I will be even more of a part of the group when I am pregnant. As I said before, I am putting it in God's hands and I truly believe that he will grant me my heart's desire... Thanks again for all that you do and caring so much for all of us.
