Guest guest
Hi! I have a sinus infection (the color indicates it...) and have been taking 85 hc past number of days. Also, the temps, I check them before taking my cytomel and 30 and 60 minutes later. The last few days they are dipping after my cytomel dose. I have decreased my doses from 12.5 mcg to 5-10 because the 12.5 made my temps dip up to one whole degree. I now take 5 mcg or up to 10 mcg (I need to fit 45 mcg. into one day) at a time. Temps still dip after taking it. I don't know what to do. If I reduce my dose to 2.5 mcg at a time I won't be able to fit in my 45 mcg. per day. If I increase my hc I may be able to tolerate my normal amounts of cytomel. But not sure about taking that much hc. This morning I took 15 hc upon awakening at 7:15. My basal was 97.0 (this is lower than my usual) At 8:15 my temp was 97.3. At 8:15 I took another 10 hc because I was so cold and wanted to be able to tolerate cytomel (cytomel warms me up, i feel the warmth coming into my fingertips after I take it with enough hc). At 8:15 I also took 10 mcg. cytomel. Temps half hour later were 97.7 So it took a total of 25 hc to tolerate 10 mcg. cytomel. (my hands are still cold; I would have needed more cytomel but scared my temps woulda dropped if I'd taken more) Sorry about the long post. Feeling lost. Thanks so much for your help! Guest guest
Ha, no wonder my temps went from 97.3 to 97.7; I was sitting still. I got outa bed and puttered about a bit, and rechecked temps nearly an hour after t3 dose, and temps are back down to 97.3. The only way to keep the temps stable or up is by sitting still all day? Why's it when I walk about my temps go down? Not enough hc to support it? maybe I need more hc til I get over my sinus thing? But I'm already topping it at 85 hc. So frustrated. > > Hi! > I have a sinus infection (the color indicates it...) and have been taking 85 hc past number of days. > > Also, the temps, I check them before taking my cytomel and 30 and 60 minutes later. Guest guest
If it si JUST the tmep dipping I owuld NOT worry abotu it. It may eb the high cortils is doing this. High cortisol causes T3 to not be used right so unless oyu hqve OTHER symtooms the temos really do nto count on that high HC dose. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HypoPets/
Guest guest
Thank you Val, my other symptom is 'feeling cold'. I had seen improvement in this area and now I am having sort of a 'relapse' with my hands feeling cold and not warming up the way they used to a week ago. > > If it si JUST the tmep dipping I owuld NOT worry abotu it.
